hello jackjr,
can i hv ur house postcode, cos some area of setapak can support Streamyx Wireless.
PV3 with postcode 53100 is under coverage.
Wat is Streamyx Wireless? From the station, its wireless, and then the receiver will capture the signal and feed into a modem.
So, you can connect to the modem with a wire or you can buy a wifi router to hook up to the modem.

Customer Streamyx Wireless Configution
Connection at customer's premise is as below:
- radio unit (CPE) to Hub/Customer PC RJ45
Anyone who is interest on Streamyx Wireless, pls kindly to pm me to check the availability.

to me still prefer the wired connection, i.e. Streamyx, irregardless of all the complaints.
I tried Maxis B/B, very very very........terrible. Not even close to what they promise, connection not stable. Really not worth the $$$ ( RM 138).. Then after 7 days of use, if you return then u will have to pay RM 200 handling fee...Dunno wat they are handling after 7 days... Ridiculous......
Mobile Number Portability,,,, i am waiting for you so tat i can ask Maxis to kiss my a@#!!!!!

Sep 14 2008, 02:21 PM
I prefer streamyx as streamyx is more stable compare to wireless connection........
Althought some ppl said streamyx is suck but streamyx is best of the suck!
Currently i'm using P1, speed is wonderful but not all the time stable.
P1 will not gud for gaming if you ask me.
That's my own opinion.

Btw, out of curiosity, anyone in PV10 using Wimax? And.. Ricky300, any chance if you could check w TM whether it's capable of 4mb package in PV10 using your fix line number? Last I check, I was told that I need a fix line number (in hse or neighbour) to check of the availability of the 4mb connection).

If u wan to apply streamyx i suggest you to apply as soon as possible....

Hmm.. cz I sorta look at the brochure for both Wimax and Streamyx Combo package for 4mb, I rather take Streamyx 4mb tbh. Any chance that you could 'lend' me your fix line number so that I can check up w the CS officer about the availability of ports and if PV10 is under coverage for the 4mb package? Planning to head down to TMPoint one of these days since I had been tight w schedules for the past few days. But I hv no idea when theyll be closed for Raya
