I believe some Windows system DLLs have corrupted. Try to re-update all Windows critical files, security packages, service packages and updates by typing:
CODE
sfc /scannow
You can view the Event Viewer under Administrative Tools in Control Panel to see system error logs.

Two ways:
1) type in the command prompt if you run Command Prompt (cmd.exe)
2) Start -> Run -> sfc /scannow

Launch the Run dialog box by pressing Windows Key + R.
Type that command into the popped dialog box.

Yes, it is possible. Every major Service Pack update will check for any missing updates and components.
