update
1. My Audio Cable is good & nicely connected
2. System already updated to latest DRIVERS
3. I'm using a DVI - HDMI adapter to my TV

can be static on the mb

Where is the sound coming from? The tv speaker? The AL speaker? Or from the connector?
speedguy10
You are using DVI to HDMI converter to connect ur TV. Therefore, I suggest you to mute your TV sound system (if the "pak pak" sound come from your tv).

This sounds like a frame rate syncing problem. Does the "pak pak" sound gap identical each time, or does it drift?

Depending on what software you use, try to change the output sample rate until the "pak pak" disappear.
runemastertan
Try this -

Uninstall your sound card driver, with the audio control panel that comes with it. Reboot, reinstall the driver ONLY, not the audio control panel that comes with it.

See if you got the problem again. Audio control panel sometimes create problems like that

im certain that ur HDMI cable not properly insulated and interference from outside is causing the issue.
Archaven
Are you using on board audio or external sound card? If so i would suggest that you use external sound card connect to your AL speaker. The distortion sound may due to your on board sound interfered by noise.

sotplug
Well, not an expert myself. But I'm not going to ask you to format or reinstall drivers or things of that sort.

Tried the TV on another computer?

And one more question that might help you.
Did you disable HDMI audio output to your TV?
Yes, I know you said no sound coming from TV.
But could this be the problem where the TV is actually supposed to output sound?
azxel
distance of
- PC to TV?
- Speakers (Sub especially) to TV?
- length of HDMI cable?
Lacus
and also..Operating system used? recently been using the living room HDTV to view animes and some minor gaming..so far works for me.HDMI outputs both audio and video right o_O? If for vista, we need to set the HDMI audio as default or not there will b no sound coming out from the tv.

I have no problem with my set up:

- Audio + video both via HDMI/ 3870 to TV
- Audio via HDMI enable as default output
- Vista x64 Ultimate
- HDMI cable 1.5m (complimentary freebie from TV purchase)

Could it be driver or set up problem with your current set up?

I know ATI cards have build in SPDIF (unlike Nvidia cards that needs a SPDIF digital connection to the mobo to get AUDIO out through DVI)... but my main concern is i don't need audio though HDMI ! i just want my Audio out from my PC rear panel !

i guess ur rear panel audio connector is not connected to the soundcard thingie of the mobo. most likely might b due to the soundcard? onboard tend to not work that good.
