How was it? better than Air Asia?
How to go there to the airport ?

Where to get the ticket ah ? Any ticketing offices in KL ?
Prefer not to agent ... coz don wanna get extra service charge!

i have travel once with firefly before.
very bad experience
my flight suppose to be on 7 am but untill 9 am also they cannot confirm when my flight is going to be.
they even said will try to make it on 11 am but cannot promised anything so my family ended paying extra and take MAS back from penang to KL
my mom travel 4 times with them and 3 times they delay the flight.
so go figure

my sister's flight to langkawi last friday was cancel last minute

sound like air asia better wor lidat !!!

if they cancel the flight last minutes, how we gonna go bac? can claim back the money or any insurance to pay us back ?

they postpone ur flight few times wan and they cancel ur fligth without infoming u ....

hm, I've traveled once from Penang to Phuket Island, all flights are just as the time schedule, but it's just a small Jet...

airasia when their first operate also give us a bad service plus noisy old boeing 737-300, but nowday they improve alot.

Fireflyz ... if they cancel any flight, do them giv bac any money or postpone d trip ?!

If everything runs fine, the plane is okay, then they might even be 5-10mins early. but when the plane has technical faults/problems, then the total delay cannot be predicted...i mean come on, even the best mechanics will sometimes not be able to fix your car in time because he still needs more time to correctly find out the problem and fix it rite..? so it's the same for their planes. it's all depending to the engineers.
I think they "Rather be late than not present"...

All the 3 planes of Firefly is being utilised to run their whole service, so if one plane is down, then there's no backup planes available to recover the routes. (mind you, having a plane sitting there as a reserve is a heavy cost, so its not a good option to have) Therefore it's down to the remaining 2 planes to fly their corresponding assigned routes, and if able to, recover the "downed" plane's route.

We wont wanna dig out history and ask why Firefly is having such poor-condition planes as someone might misunderstood that i'm biased. But their new ATR 72 should take away all these problems of sudden cancellations or delays (coz it's new, and it shouldnt have any technical probs!! and will be able to fly without hassles). So if the ATR comes, i'd be on it..lolz...

where do you plan to go if u dont mind me asking? their first plane is expected to arrive end of august.. but donno when will it start to fly.. It's the first to be use in M'sia tho..so...u knw.. lots of things to do on it...

No firsthand experience, but my boss was suppose to fly to Phuket this morning at 9am. They delayed the flight to 5pm.

The silver lining is that she got to have lunch with her parents before her holiday.

Me and my gf had taken fireflyz to langkawi and back to subang on the 10-13th.

they had cancelled out booked flight which was Subang - Langkawi and rerouted me to Subang - Penang - Langkawi without any extra cost. The cancellation was notified with email and asked me to dial a number stated there. They also notified me via sms on that.

The reason was they had cancelled all flights from Subang to Langkawi till further notice. For timing wise, suprisingly they are very on time for a budget airline. The plane depart without any delays. On the journey back, we even depart earlier then scheduled. Apart from that, we even have a chance to remain on the plane as the connecting flight was using the same plane. ( special case as fireflyz was a point to point carrier ). The whole stopover at penang just around 20 minutes then we are up on the sky again.

Other then that, one of my housemate is flying to langkawi tomorrow and his booking was cancelled as well but he was transferred to MAS flight without any extra charges. Guess fireflyz likes to cancle flights. but as precaution to everyone who take fireflyz, do call their ticketing to check the flight schedule few days before departure.

Overall i am satisfy with the service which they provided and will not hesitate to fly with them again in future if needed.

p/s fireflyz give 20KG Baggage allowance while airasia charge per baggage check-in and 15KG allowance.

First tat attitude... second... y another RM50 compare to internet price? I know its different but cant be RM50 much different wat! furthermore... internet tat one alredy include tax alredy de ma! it stated there !? can anyone clarify this ? extra RM50?

Then ... I leave tat counter and head to MAS to book Fireflyz... I understand the problem may occur ... may b the flight might b cancel or delay or wat so ever! But due to promotion fares, and its cheaps ... i decide to book the flight!

Over there , the services was gud, especially all the stewardess , without waiting long queue, i was serve by some staff... n the flight was cheap compare to AA ... and they smile telling me ... if there's any flight cancel or delay, MAS will either refund me, postpone my flight or go any other flight with notification! They smile cheerful ... and the rate that i pay is only 20 cents differnt compare to internet price! And the environment for MAS very comfortable ... at least gt place to sit unlike AA ... sit in mcD for ice creams! So in end, I take Fireflyz return flight , hopefully no problems la ...

taking taxi RM26 is it cheap ? KTM can reach or make the place nearer!?

The ATR 72-500 is a new plane. MAS bought around 20 i think for Firefly and MASWings.

Delivery flight for the ATR is around August, so hopefully by september it will be operating.

haha... i even ask the worker over there ... they oni gave me an answer - fokker! ATR is just another rumour they said ...

ukiya, because its not even in service yet. now they are operating with 3 fokker 50. atr only start operating from 26 oct onwards.

my friends (11people) book tickets from this firefly.. 4 days before the flight, they just sms / email to inform my friends that the flight CANCELED!

End up my friends need to book the tickets from airasia which cost more as it was not promotion period..

So me and all my friends won't book tickets from Firefly, because we wont know what will happen before the flights.. airasia is better because they wont canceled your flight just like that..

seems like many ppl had cancel their flight few days ago ... i wondering ... does any1 sit firefly with no problem at all ?!

I am able to tell more in a month orso. Will be flying from Penang to Kota Bharu, hopefully without any troubles (would be a shame to arrive the next day at Perhentian)...

It's the only direct flight between those two places, so I couldn't use Air Asia on this route. Gonna wait and see...

Just hearing from MATTA Fair having in PWTC now...

There's a Fireflyz booth... and one of the officer or may be agent clarify to me that the ATR plane already in use of sendng people off to other nation as well as domestic flight! The date in Oct is just something like a launching ATR plane... but there's no official statement that show the ATR plane are in services now just the people in matta fair clarify oni...

hehehehe we are the one who always delay the fokker firefly aircraft old aircrfat many problem woo but no worries now got two atr already big and comfy and silent somemore ..leather seat huhuhhh.. by the end of his month the whole fllet is atr 72 ... the only thing is subang airport is in renovation right now so a lil bit eyesore to look at around you ..huhuhhu

btw: im not working under them only that mas engineering maintain the aircraft thats all

actually i booked it in August ... Promotion Fares! after a fews weeks near merdeka... they sms me telling me the time had been replaced to XX time while actually in d begining ... the time is still d same but they told me is being replce while its actually d same ^^

Juz tried fireflyz ... very very friendly customer services... their stewardess some r very pretty n nice! try fokker n saw new atr on my arrival at subang airport... will upload the photos later !!! Flight to with fireflyz atr plane not bad de ... juz subang airport under renovation ...

Inside the new ATR ... seat slightly wider than the fokker itself ... less engine sound ... cooler aircond n most of all is the seat ... syok wei...

Just went Penang with their service... very syok ... no queue, friendly services, and its cheap!

Their service is very good plus brand new aircraft. This community airline company get thumbs up from me. Moreover, during the flight, get the delicious muffin and orange juice...

Very Good service..recommended but the only thing is flight delay la...the rest all ok...

FireFly takeoff from Subang Right?...Might try FireFly back Penang for CNY.

MAS is Rm1k around for 3 person but i can get at RM300 coz is staff Price
