You guys sure that replacement for postpaid sim card is free??
I asked the lady at the counter wheter it's free or not, she told me it will be charged under my monthly bills.
In total , i asked 3 ladies.

Went to KLCC, they didn't have it there. They said that they only have the new 3g sim.
I called the maxis service centre at 7.30pm, i asked wheter they do have stock for the L thingy at any of their centres, they said mostly no,cause they will only provide the new 3g sim.
*

sorry for your frustration, but 2 weeks ago when i been there, i show her the docomo sim card photo, the lady pick it out from her drawer and there are 3 stacks of sim cards inside. asked her that time and she told me that it is free of charge, checked my billing for this month, nothing extra in the bill.

it is best that you can show them the sim card photo, rather just ask and they might not able to understand what you want.
talk about new 3g sim card, what so special about it? what are the differences with old sim card till have to rule them out? old sim card cannot 3g meh? i still remember 64k sim card also can 3g...
Synthesia
Well, i took a pic of it with my sh905i, and i showed the lady there, she said they don't have such sim card....ahhh fxxx that newbie lady....
I'll try again some other day..

Thanks for the help smile.gif

silentz
yea im using 64k sim card now, i still can use 3g. new 3g sim i guess mabbe is at least 128k or higher?

im doubt whether i go to replace a L shape sim card now as IF i got new fon later, IF den no more L shape sim card den i very cham sweat.gif

i think 1 mth ago i request to chg frm prepaid to postpaid during da roadshow near my office. wth until now i still using prepaid. dunno wat they r doin laugh.gif but i think oso gud geh, coz im not reli use much credits.
FaKeAnGeL
Tomorrow i wan go replace rdy hehe^^My SH906i Comming this week Black*
paikius
me 2 neec to get that L thingy thing..today i have to do the cpr three times..cannot tahan meh..hope they still have the L shape sim card for celcom, if not i'm doomed!!!
Seaedge
128k basically for bigger memory for phone contacts. No doubt 64k still can use 3g but until one time it will be disabled(if urs is the red and non maxis3g simcard). But if u say any difference between those 2 simcard for 3g usage... I don't think there is any difference.

And word of advise, changing this simcard needs luck sometime. Not everywhere there is stock for this L sim, so you guys just have to do some hunting As this simcard is actually not widely used. And you can't expect other members to give 100% accurate answer right?
milkyway

Wooooooot, visited the 4th service centre. N obviously, they didn't have the L shaped. This time, i asked wheter they can order for me, or will they have that specific stock and i asked her to check her old stock. lol. She said they won't have this, as they only have that OTHER specific sim card.

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Aug 3 2008, 05:56 PM)
suggesting you to try your luck at the maxis centre near you. it is based on the stock availability.

first time, i went to Maxis TTDI, but there are running out of stock for the L Shape.
second time, i went to Maxis TTDI again (after 1 week or so), just to try my luck, and so happen they have stock, so they change it for me FOC.
*

Pana jie, can help me smile.gif? Is the TTDI centre very near your house,
if yes ,can help me ask them wheter they still have stock for the L pattern simcard??
If it's far,then it's ok .

You could try to download the English manual from the Docomo website.

By the way, not sure the structure is same for SH905i, you could try this guide written for P905i:

================================
Video Part
================================

Regarding putting video and audio into P905i for playback, please try the following:

For movie, please follow the naming convention and structure below:

o:\SD_VIDEO\PRLXXX\MOLYYY.ZZZ

You can copy and paste the video file into the above structure.
You can create sub-folder for separating the movies but the name must be in PRLXXX
The file name must be in MOLYYY.ZZZ .You can't use your own naming on the file as the phone will not detect them.

Symbol Representation:
o = root location of the microSD card
XXX = number starting from 001 to 999
YYY = number starting from 001 to 999
ZZZ = the original file extension (could be MP4, 3GP, ASF)

Example:
o:\SD_VIDEO\PRL001\MOL001.MP4
o:\SD_VIDEO\PRL001\MOL002.MP4
o:\SD_VIDEO\PRL002\MOL010.ASF
o:\SD_VIDEO\PRL002\MOL011.3GP
o:\SD_VIDEO\PRL003\MOL001.ASF

================================
Music/Audio Part
================================

For music/audio, please follow the naming convention and structure below:

o:\PRIVATE\DOCOMO\MMFILE\MMFUUUU.ZZZ or sub-folders within MMFILE folder

Symbol Representation:
o = root location of the microSD card
UUUU = number starting from 0001 to 9999
YYY = number starting from 001 to 999
ZZZ = the original file extension (could be MP4, 3GP, ASF, SDV, WMA)

Example:
o:\PRIVATE\DOCOMO\MMFILE\MUD001\MMF0001.MP4
o:\PRIVATE\DOCOMO\MMFILE\MUD001\MMF0006.MP4
o:\PRIVATE\DOCOMO\MMFILE\MUD002\MMF0003.3GP
o:\PRIVATE\DOCOMO\MMFILE\MUD002\MMF0002.ASF

(Note that WMA is not tested yet but I guess you need USB cable to sync those WMA files to the phone under MTP mode via Windows Media Player)

For converting songs to listen in the phone, you can get iTunes + Quicktime from http://www.apple.com/iTunes/ which is free to encode your songs into AAC files (which will be in .m4a extension). After that, rename the extension to .MP4 will do.

You can set the encoding option under iTunes via:

Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced Tab -> Importing Tab -> Choose AAC Encoder under Import Using dropdown list and use High Quality (128Kbps) on Settings dropdown list.

Drag some songs into iTunes. Choose one or multiple songs in the list and right click. Choose Convert Selection to AAC option and you will then start to convert those songs into AAC format.

================================
Contact Part
================================

If you want to insert contacts in .VCF (vCard file) to P905i, please do the following:

Make sure the following directory exist in your memory card:

x:\SD-PIM\
(x represents the drive letter for the memory card)

You must follow the following naming convention in order for the vCard file to be detected by the phone:
PIMXXXXX.VCF
X represents number from 00001 to 65535.

The vCard, vCalendar must store within SD-PIM folder.

If you have single vCard with multiple contacts, then this one will be best as you will only need to rename the VCF file once.
For example: Original vCard file name is My100Contacts.VCF. You need to rename it to PIM00001.VCF.

If you have multiple vCards with single contacts in each, then you will need to rename the file name one by one.
For Example:
My1stContact.VCF -> PIM00001.VCF
My2ndContact.VCF -> PIM00002.VCF

When you complete copying the VCF file into x:\SD-PIM\, insert the memory card into the phone.
Go to Menu -> LifeKit -> SD-PIM -> Phonebook

Now you will see the renamed VCF file(s) in the list. If you have a single VCF file with many contacts in it, just press the VCF file, and you can see all the individual contact in it. Press FUNC key to copy it to phone memory (one or all).

Small Tips: You can use Microsoft Outlook or Windows Live Mail to export your existing phonebook in PC into Business Card (.VCF)

Other tips: You may try the Docomo DataLink software for file transferring also.

What format you use for videos and songs? If possible, try to list out the steps you did so could identify where is the cause.

Managed to get the songs and video working just by removing the last 4 words in the file. (.mp4)

Hmmm, do i have to rename the song in the phone itself? Every single song i put??
