more like china phones copying kphone designs. Thing with kphones from korea to use, they use cdma network, only a few other countries can use such as north america and even then, the north american companies are very strict on what phone you can use so getting a kphone working is using semi-not legal methods, that the koreans use.

Some designs that are similar, the LG chocolate, that one i posted that has a gsm, there is a korean samsung d820, a lot of the slider designs and touch screens appear in korea first then in the US, but the US ones are usually cheaper made and features taken out.

The korean chocolate design is like the world wide version, but the one I've seen people use in the US looks like this

uglier and worse than the original.

haiz, looks like umobile roaming on celcom towers is not that good, calling out always cannot one, calling in oso often cannot get through, sending sms oso often my so905i says sending failed but on my nokia i oredi received the msg. not just on jphones, on normal phone oso like that, especially the service command, my nokia shows the "requesting" only, but i never get reply...... umobile is a sure no for us, since we cant even make any call to check the balance, hav to use the service command *118#, which cant be used on jphones.

i know the command works on the 903 though .

I wish i got that kind of offer for a kphone. But one that was used in korea isnt as easy to activate as one a korean living in the US using on local cdma provider. My friend wants to use one on prepaid or get a USA Casio gz'one on his prepaid cdma account. Other than the Sanyo's and crappy kyoceras, thats the closet thing to a jphone to use here.

harder b/c in the US they dont use R-UIM cards for cdma companies (i dont think korea does either and uses ESN) and its a semi-illegal method of working, some how the korean shops use a regular local phone, get the ESN off it and put it into the korean phone. So while the telco in the US doesnt support or activate the phone, some semi-illegal methods are used to trick the telco that it is a local phone. I believe in mainland china they do the same thing with getting korean phones to work. Problem with a korean phone, the us telco will get it a year later and you wont be unique anymore unless its that Hyori phone

I believe there are some wcdma korean phones now, but idk if anyone has attemped to unlock any, there is one of the 707sc for korea, that someone on hwz had, but they could not get it working, better off getting japanese versions of samsungs instead
