got any faster way to input the name at Reading name? lazy 1 by 1 add too many contacts d :S
*

Hmm, not sure the datalink program supports for phonebook editing or not. As if you're not creating the contact itself with the phone, the reading field will be empty. If you create the contact in the phone itself, when you enter the contact name, reading name will automatically replicate the name when you first time enter the name. Any subsequent changes to the name, the reading name will not be change.

Everytime we put in a thumbdriv and when we wanna eject it, you'll have to eject it via computer then only can eject the device.
Is the card like that?
*

Actually for thumbdrive, you don't have to eject it via computer then only take it out -___-
For me, i just pull it out all the time. Its called hot-plugging, its meant to be plug and pulled anytime you like lol it won't spoil the thumbdrive...
paikius
yes because thumbdrive uses a chip..but for external harddisk cannot meh..will scratch your disc..

And another.
Everytime i remove the microSD, i just have to remove it like that? Without pressing any button?
If you don't get this; a better explanation.

really arh? my ext hdd also i do like that hahaha been doing that for few years de so far no problem la(hopefully)... >.>

MicroSD card got no disk inside(uses chip) so yeah i think it should be fine to just pull it out.
Another thing, i think its better to copy the picture to the phone to set a as wallpaper because from my experience on my SE, everytime i pull the memstick out, the wallpaper and ringtone(set as mp3) all changes to default, which can be pretty annoying lol

hi....few days back i got post here that i got a P906i as a gift. I tried to use it using i-smartphone 2008 bypass sim and it didn't work (black color). I tried it on my friend SH905i and that ismartphone 2008 bypass sim worked. His SH905i was originally using benny's sim (old revision) and tried to use it on my P906i and it didn't work also. Any P906i or any 906 users here? I need to get a bypass sim that i can use it here in Malaysia. And what's the best sim card for the bypass sim? The "L" shape 1 right if im not mistaken? Just need to get my P906i working.... rclxub.gif

ermm i read in singapore hardwarezone forum and also howardforum that p906i gives a lot of problem to the hypersim..dunno is it true or not..

I got a SH906iTV using ismartphone 2008 (aka V-Sim) with Maxis and its running fine....just some CPR and UIM Unrecognised thingy from time to time....more frequent than 905 series me thinks....I am not sure about P series though...but I thought it should be even better compatibility compared to SH series. Did u disable SIM pin number request by the way?

Oh and SG guys mostly uses iNex hypersim which they claim to be very stable.

As for 'L' shaped simcard, I have already checked 3 Maxis centres, all do not have them anymore....tough luck sad.gif

May want to give the maxis centre near LeisureMall a try.I got mine there, last tuesday. All you have to do is explain VERY slowly in full details;bring a picture? say you want that specific pattern, if they say tht they don't have , just tell them you had a friend who got it from there. and ask them check their stacks of simcard. HOPE this helps .

usually we're using the 64k sim card (im not too sure) but the L shape is a 128k sim in maxis, just got it today from klcc maxis centre,
the 1st lady i asked kept on saying when i showed her the pic "i dunno, we only hav this ( this refers to other kind) of sim card", then the next lady came n told me that's the 128k sim card n i need to pay RM25 for replacement, while changing to 64k requires me to pay RM10. n so i got my L sim, hope this reduces the cpr prob.

1st of all, welcome to tis JPhone mania...
jz answer watevr i know...
1) jphones are hard to find in shops but in LYN, anything is possible lol... some forumers like a forumer nickname vodafone in garage sale bring in jphones from overseas(i dunno where exactly is but i believe is directly from Japan)
and dun expect to buy cheap for latest model lor...F905i new set should be around RM1600~1650(note tat it is only phone and battery), charger(RM80), bypass sim(RM130~200)

2)in terms of getting d network, no need do any setting(as far as i know..), jz get d suitable bypass sim with ur sim card attached, put in ur beloved jphone, and voila...unlock already~lol
but for Docomo models, users might experience "CPR" problem, as u refer from previous post or even in Jphone discussion v8.
and 1 more problem, some functions like mms, GPRS, 3G, GPS, 1-seg, etc cant be used oso.

F905i looks really good...i oso kena poison for tis model. but further info need tiffneedle(F905i user) and vodafone(JPhone expert) to explain.

AND want to promote...wanna try my SO905iCS? huhu...i wanna sell... thumbup.gif

what makes you like F905i/F906i?
if you like listen music with your handphone, its is best you buy the USB cable together, either Softbank or Docomo are working fine.
expensive bypass sim will be less signal lost, no need so much of CPR.(actually do you know what is CPR for the phone?)
here is the comparison for F906i and F905i, you can use google language tools to translate japanese word to english.
http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/product/search/...one&radioItem=1
i suspect F906i got flash light, which is F905i just have a line for beam that is actually not enough when take picture at dark scene.

1st of all, its not the serial number.. its the model number...

next, i dun think u can play mp3s, youll need to convert them to aac format

lastly, bypass sim depends on your network provider. some might work better than others regardless of the price so you'll have to ask around and do some homework before you buy.
the price of the bypass sim depends on the version of it thus: latest version/revision of bypass sim = more expensive i believe

that being said, im also noob like you(havent even got my phone yet, believe its flying from japan this moment)
answers i gave are just based on my humble researches >.>

It's been 2 days, and cpr wasn't needed. I am shocked.
Yesterday when i was at midvalley's parking area; the chinese characters appeared, and i forgot to bring my cpr phone. I was pissed.
Later when i walked around in midvalley, my phone's signal appeared to be stable again. omg? i was seriously shocked. CPR wasn't needed!
Then walk somemore, chinese characters appeared. Then walk again, signal full O_O
Oh yeah, whenever the chinese characters appeared, i checked my friend's phone-maxis line. His phone appeared to have no signal too. But when my signal was ok; so was his.

i can c d difference of F905i/F906i...
a bit only, like design, thickness(F906i thinner), battery life F906i last longer BUT F906i stability yet to be confirmed in Malaysia

for bypass sim, d expensive one d seller claimed tat it is more stable and no CPR issue. but in Malaysia, still nobody try for d most expensive one(i think...)

Oh yeah, whenever the chinese characters appeared, i checked my friend's phone-maxis line. His phone appeared to have no signal too. But when my signal was ok; so was his.

haha it depends on our luck i guess, sometimes the signal wont regain by itself, then baru cpr needed, n i notice something that let's say ur out from the lift n the signal is regained, but if the signal is out for too long most probably u'll need to cpr.....

If you really don't mind these and REALLY wanna get a docomo phone. I tell you, head to the nearest maxis centre and get the L shaped simcard that is shown in the 1st page of this thread.

AND want to promote...wanna try my SO905iCS? huhu...i wanna sell... thumbup.gif

Your explanation is good already.

vodafone:  just wondering, do you know if all chinese/european 903sh are all CID24/49?  none are CID73?

my friend was viewing ebay and showed me a 100usd 903sh so yeah I think I might have found my replacement motherboard for my 903sh hoping its japanese and not a euro 2005
*

I'm not really sure but in HK, SMV do release CID73 version before if I'm not mistaken. You can identify it by the IMEI or Manufacture date unless the phone's firmware upgraded or sent back to service before.

Look for IMEI number before 358141/00/100000/0 (Note that it is before that number sequence)
IMEI with number 354721/00/XXXXXX/X would be quite safe.
Manufacture date is on or before December 2005 (For December one, must see along with the IMEI)

CPR required when you using Docomo phone, when the signal lost and never recover within 2 minutes.
in this stage you need another hand phone to get the signal back. take out the sim card from your docomo phone and place into another normal hand phone(any nokia or sony ericsson) and make a few calls and sms, if can try do it a the signal strong coverage area, after this then only place back to docomo phone.

according to the link, suppose is F906i heavier than F905i, but not much different lol, actually i fell it is much lighter compare with my previous 903SH...
KyoLee
oo now i know.. biggrin.gif CPR.. emergency recover biggrin.gif
thanks for explain.~ smile.gif i know the meaning of CPR d biggrin.gif

Save up about 400 more and get a 903sh. 903sh a very VERY good camera phone.
Eventhough it may take you a year to save up but it's
Worth your money.
