my maxis is a no go as well.. after CPR with nokia and iphone.. still cant be used in my N905i.. my N905i hates my maxis... want me use Umobile...

Hmm, nope but you could try to off the PIN request to see if it is better. It is TML problem and the newer v-sim might has the better capability to resolve the problem in 906i series. Still negotiating and might be able to get it after 2 weeks.






Try to change another SIM to see if the same problem persist. Besides, try to do CPR like what yupio suggested, if your own SIM alone produce same result, then try to do CPR with the bypass + your own SIM in CPR phone. If problem still there, then most likely the bypass SIM is damaged.




When you do CPR, did you try to research network on the CPR phone? Besides, if you current only using only your SIM for the CPR, then you could try to insert the V-SIM and your SIM together for the CPR.

By the way, you should be able to use T9 in your n905imu. Try to play around and make sure you see the T9 icon appear. Change to english character (like Aa or aa). Give it a try and see.

Hmm issit? Cause the mojic input engine used by N905i is the same as N905imu eh. You can try that when your current input method icon is Aa or aa and long press * or # key and it should activate the T9 function.

Just glance through both N905i and N905imu manuals, both are the same.

Oh... Ok.. I got my t9 English out. Apparently I have to select t9 kanji also then change to E. Bcos I read the manual and didn't state t9 English available. Not bad but more hassle than normal nokia's t9. But then it is still better than nothing.

Oh well. Until this point of time, no CPR sighted. I am now in putra heights.

yeah toshiba, it uses the same sensor as the p905i also, I guess the 1.92mp is the sweet spot for it, not sure if there are any sizes differences in it though

Did you set the Reading Name field on each contact? It will search by Reading field.

where to c tis "Reading Name field"??

In your phonebook, edit 1 of your contact. You should see a field with name "Reading" (2nd field). Key in the reading name you like when you do searching.
