- i dun wan to bring 2 phones out
- i feel despair when i see my phone shows "圈外" or "USIM Is Not Recognized"
- i dun wan to lost any important calls
- i dun wan to get an expensive phone and yet cannot fully utilize all the phone features

probably not due to phone since TAC is just an ordinary SMS.

but those banks website sometimes will delay their SMS. its just coincidentally when you switch phone (or during switching) the sms came in.

try it out a few more times (on different day) to confirm this theory.

lol at you guys answers laugh.gif

great, as long as you find comfortable with it.

for me, that's the 4 important points that stopped me from getting a docomo, sadly.

i might opt for the Sharp WX-T92 (Softbank 920SH -TWN/HK version).

- it doesnt require hypersim
- so you'll never need to undergo CPR procedure
- all multimedia and features (including of MMS & GPRS) is fully usable

now the only problem is,
the whopping high price - still tagged at RM2K++ smile.gif
*

that would be my target also since the news of taiwan/HK version is out and the price is really on the highside;like 903SH came out 1st time. smile.gif
well... hav to wait till its RM1.5k or so...

QUOTE(accool @ Aug 8 2008, 12:38 PM)
ya, u r correct, Sharp WX-T92 (Softbank 920SH -TWN/HK version) actually is good phone to the people who dont want to cpr for the phone and u oso can get latest screen resolution for the japanense phone. u can use anything for the phone including web n mms. plus the function is more easy to use compare to docomo phone n it can set mp3 as a ringtone. minus point is the price is high, it is abt RM2.3 at taiwan, but u can fully utilise the function lah

Added on August 8, 2008, 12:43 pm

dont think so it can be software unlock,  the 920sh still cant be unlock by software even though sharp has sell their 920sh ( as wxt92 ) in asia country, one of the report i hv read is they changing the chipset in wxt92 not the software.
*

so, no news on "changing chipset" on 923SH?

hmm..when i cpr i didnt put the hypersim together into the other phone..i juz put the simcard only..is my method wrong..or do u need to put hypersim together?

without hypersim also works but at times it does not, when that happens, do it with the hypersim in which is supposed to yield a better result. note that hypersim may be rejected by symbian and pda phones.

actually, this unlock 920sh for sharp is factory unlock. i think unless sharp want to come out the 923sh in asia country, then possible can get the fully unlock for the 923sh. but till now no news yet. so for sharp come model like wxt81, wxt82 n wxt92 for taiwan. however, got news abt panasonic want to introduce their handset p905i for asia country in the end of year.

If you get UIM not recognized message and your SIM is with PIN request on, then try to off it and try again. It might able to get it work.

From SIM to microSD, then you could use this way. Copy contacts to the phone 1st, then backup the contacts to memory card. Try to play around in the menu that snuffykl pointed to.

how to see if my v-sim is spoilt?? I may have bent it a little at the side, just a little force was applied.
I've been having the chinese letters and -Select network for a quite some time now. I tried CPR so many times. When starting the phone, it prompts me to insert pin no- is this a good sign?

Select network may be due to your phone's Network Search Mode have set to 'Manual'. Need to set it back to 'Auto'.

Insert pin number...is that your simcard pin number??

well, then at least your v-sim is still in good condition.

are you in a weak signal coverage area??

try my method of CPR and see how it goes.

this one :

Network Search Mode : Set to AUTO
Type : GSM/GPRS

To do a proper CPR, place the simcard with hypersim together to a nokia / SE phone, turn it on to let it get a signal, thereafter make some calls and sms as well as receive some calls and sms. Then turn off the phone and transfer back both simcard and hypersim to your J-phone.

Remember to do the CPR in strong coverage area and remember to use a non 3G phone or if it is 3G phone, to disable it first before plugging in the simcard and hypersim for CPR.
