hmm...I guess it'll work without driver from CD...I did not try but straight away install the driver b4 plugging in the USB cable and it detects my phone with its model exactly and both communication mode and microSD mode works flawlessly...

Even without the USB cable plugged in, the MTP mode is greyed....I just thought of something...maybe because I did not have microSD plugged in....will check again after I acquired a microSD and plug it in.



To all....Thanks fr all the tips n guides to a fellow newbie like me.

Last time during testing, I'm able to use the balance check command from Maxis. Not always it could be use though. By the way, sometimes you need to try several times to get it work. The message prompt "Invalid func in this UIM" is a normal error you will get for those request command.

ya shud b u dun have microsd . dun tink can insert anything to the phone memory using usb cable. if can mayb we can make the mp3 ringtone works

OIC...needs microSD no wonder la.....I plan to get 8Gb. only which hovers around RM130 - 140. But can the phone support 16Gb? From the spec, its like up to 8Gb. only. Anyway 16Gb. probably too expensive for me and I am not sure whether microSD got 16Gb. or not yet...

there's 1 time i thought need do cpr cuz suddenly i cannot send out sms but actually is sim card problem. other than that there's 1 time i rmb there's not signal for awhile then after i reach home the signal went bk to normal again.got gprs meh ? mine whole time gsm only.

hmm...all along I am having GPRS and I read from other forums that when they see GPRS, its more stable (less UIN Unrecognised and less CPR). And its like random whether u see GPRS or GSM, we cannot control it.

haih, I hope my phone's gonna be more stable over time....will see if its still the same for 1 week, will start hunting for 'L' simcard...Anyone managed to change to 'L' type Maxis sim in Penang / Butterworth do tell ya!

yah..it really confuse me..i try cpr using nokia and my phone will appear gsm but when i try cpr using sony erricson my phone will appear gprs..but now suddenly it turn to gsm by itself..Gd luck on ur hunting for the L sim card
