guys.
i have problem with my pc,so i download this diagostic software
so,what can i do with this software?
so,what is this means?
i copy from the manufacter my harddisk(diagostic)

STest is an utility for test ExcelStor drives

DO NOT RUN THIS UTILITY FROM WINDOWS/Linux! ----------> how to run?

Usage:
ESTest [/D:xy] [/R] [/L] [/F:x] [/H] [/?]
/D:xy which drive to be tested
x = p or s, p - Primary controller, s - Secondary controller
? - Show all drive attached to the controller
y = 0 or 1, 0 - Master drive, 1 - Slave drive
if not specified, default to s0
/R Read only, Data on the drive will not be destroyed
/L:XXXX where XXXX is ALL or FAIL
log test result to estest.log, turncate it if one exists
/F:x Try to fix problemetic sector, x could be one of the following:
Y - fix.
N - not to fix.
if not specified, default to /F:Y
/H Print this help message
/? Same as /H

Test steps:

ESTest tests for following items in the order as they are listed:
1. Check SMART status
2. Buffer test
3. UDMA mode test
4. Random write / read test
5. Surface scan
6. Check bad sectors
7. Positioning System test

Btw...what problem do you have?

Make a bootable floppy, copy the utility into it, then boot your computer with the floppy and run the utility from the command-line with the parameters you have already listed.

u can use WD Data LifeGuard Diagnostics from WD website....this sw support all brand HDD.

Or alternatively, especially with these newer computers who don't have a floppy drive, get a copy of DOS (FreeDOS is a good place to start), make it into a bootable CD and add in the utility CD. I know it's a serious waste of space, but hey, CD-R are cheap these days.

Interesting to see this ExcelStor brand. Seems to be essentially a copy (what else from China?) of Hitachi's HDD's. Through Iomega has bought over it. Like everything else China, ownership of more opaque than who owns Lenovo. The factory is in Shenzhen, headquartered in Beijing, but runs its corporate affairs out of a holding company in the Cayman Islands.
