1.4v wont be high for a brisbane, because it was 65nm..

Gaygaybyte can OC that good ? For AM2 it is not a good choice IMO. My friend's mobo died when he tried to push 5k BE sweat.gif

some of AM2 gigabyte board can be oced nicely, some of them works better than other brands... brows.gif

yup, a.c is decent enough for that range of voltage. but for 1.5v & above, i think better settle for higher end model... smile.gif

Really ah ? Higher model ka ? Because last time we're using S2G and S3, lack of OCing features and cannot go any higher. At least not as high as Biostar mobo

Hi..sifus out there..wanna ask a question here..anyone who is using Biostar TA770 A2+ out there? The north bridge chipset is terribly hot..how bout u guys? juz wanna know..the passive heatsink there is quite small, do i need to change it to another one with active cooling one..how bout the abit ax78 user? did the silent otes performed better?

I done a little mod by adding 2 small foxcorn fan . size 40x40 i think la, running at 4900rpm

1 for south bridge and 1 at the north bridge.

d silent otes is crap for me, no proper contact made between d mosfets & d passive heatsink. doh.gif

i remove 'em all & slapped a cm chipset cooler on d nb (put a cm 4cm led fan on it too) & put small chipset heatsink on d mosfets, temp dropped atleast 5'c more than d silent otes... smile.gif

mine n/b edy mod with better cooler. and all PWN mosfet for cpu , ram and n/b edy mod with ram heatsink

So my n/b temp is around 30c to 36c and mosfet using ram heatsink no very hot (using my hand feel it)

u mean my lousy f2 3800+? can't oc much, 2.5GHz seems d max for 24/7 setup. waitin for d b3 9550 but i guess earliest end of next week only can get... smile.gif

so far i'm more happy w my ram instead... was a steal gettin 'em... wink.gif

I luckily found unused fans from old proc at my office, and seem to fit my mobo.

But it a little bit try and error, and learning from experience

Is it their strategy or what?Last time the shop seller ask me to buy archilles when i told him i use AMD..reason is that he said the base of archilles is bigger and can cover the whole AMD proc..but i bought red scorpion after all because it saves me RM20 rclxub.gif ..no much different also another heatpipe more..the red scorpion didn't contact the whole surface of my processor but so far the temp is ok

LOL ok, need advice to OC my 4800+ on M2A-VM. Stock vcore @ 2.9g now. Need 1.475-1.5 to push to 3.2g. izzit normal? I've done that but the temp seems abit abnormal 64c and going. Doubt i dint install my heatsink properly.

i think 1.5v is normal to oc that high, cause i stuck at 2.8Ghz only on my previous M2A-VM.

i'am not so sure with the temp.
