some chip like less vcore.. urs is F3.. v1.5 can achieve 3.4 edy..
htt should run <=1000 unless ur mobo capable doing more than that..

but still not all f3 is the same too.in term of vcore..
alot of ta690g capable to do >1000mhz daily lorr
im sure new gen mobo can do better....no?

pls check as u mite not need that much of voltage for 5-5-5-x @ 1000. 2.3v for that kinda timin @ 1000 is too high imo. my previous 10th anni needed only 1.95v, currently i feed only 1.90v to my twinmos for same setting.

they might have a diff batch of core/ram....diff core/ram may have diff capability to oc..

Phenom is a great disappointment for AMD fans. Now OCing time, most users opt to which has more OC ability. I wonder when will AMD will rise again, just like during Athlon vs Pentium last time

Its only a disappointed to people who buy and then expect a dream oc (easily to 3ghz or way beyond).
As for stock operation or abit of oc for day to day usage and even as far as crysis gaming, i'd say good enough.

Proc? Im using the new saphire 4850. Testing it now and trying to overclock it as well

better cool it down 1st b4 u start increasin d MHz... with reference cooler it runs quite hot even @ stock speed. watch out for the voltage regulator coolin, some dead 4850s were due to insufficient coolin on that particular part...

for d moment ta770 seems to be a better choice, it clocks phenoms better than abit's ax78. but to be fair to ax78, i believe it can overclock x2 as well as its counterpart in ta770. but hold ya horses as we're waitin for bro dblooi's biostar 790gx board review...

i'm sure it'll be another value oc board just like ta690g...

Hi, i got a lil problem in oc my 4800+ in m2a-vm board. max can reach 2.8 only. all i did is adjust the mhz. what else should i need to do to increase summore without having pc hang /bsod

around 160. now my phenom is running on normal heatsink at 40c load. very happy with it.

no point u oc ur GC if ur processor with low speed..
dual core at least 3.2ghz are able to boost ur performance much more compared to u oc ur GC..
beside that, when u change to 3rd party cooler, make sure u got heatsink attached to the pwm area

So it will not fully utilise the full power of the graphic card.

No problem with that I guess. OCing proc is to reduce the bottleneck gap between proc and gc. You'll get better fps in most games
