For those of you that have been playing console rpg for a long time,
Phantasy Star series from the Sega should be no stranger to you.

The Phantasy star expansion series on was one of the first online RPG that was introduced by Sega during the Dreamcast Era . After seeing the gigantic success of the rise from Capcom's Monster Hunter series, Sega has planned to port its Playstation 2 Phantasy Star Universe to the PSP Handheld .


More Information on the game
-On PSP the game will be named Phantasy Star Portable
-It will feature an all new story mode with original characters and extra missions
-Also coming with the game is a Multiplayer mode which supports cooperative gameplay up to 4 person.
-Currently the Game is scheduled for a release date of 31st July 2008 in Japan.

watched the trailer showed by my friend... both really have lots of similarities.. dunno which copy who's....

I wouldn't say its copying, The Phantasy Star Online has been around for quite a long time ( Since Dream cast era ).
If you would insist that they r copying from each other, it will be the other way around..

But nevertheless,it is an amazing game to play with multiplayers. Have always been wanting to Play PSO on DC times, but broadband did not even exist in Malaysia back then

but still how's the system? like MMORPG or 4 player quest?

its similiar to a MMORPG, eg Wow, where you are gathering in a kind of lobby, and up to 4 person can participate in a certain quest to obtain rare items ( like the WOW instances )

owh i though like MMORPG where everyone online at the same time wouldn't that be fun
I hope its like MH on the PS2 where all player within the lobby can interact with one another before
heading off to a quest.

Wow... a futuristic MH game~ i see lvl-ing system~ (grinding will be required i assume... =,=)

MH boss fights really annoy the hell outta me xD (n00b here keep getting knocked down/low stam/all the trouble a n00b would get into lol) a tad too real?
i liked straightforward mmorpgs like wow. one that doesn't get me knocked down so frequently huhu
