haha. i had my own screw ups too. well isnt really me screwing up. the cameraman wanted a shot behind the drummer, so he went and trip over the power cables. not only did my amp turned off (it was a tube amp, so turning it back on took a while), my audio interface turned off, when it got back on it couldnt sync with my laptop again, so i had to restart. 2 songs couldnt have samples and drum loops. thank God for the great musicians i played with and we managed to cover it up. (those who dont know, i was sampling and playing guitars).

however, overall it was great. not everyday you get to play with a small string section, a great band and get to mix rock+strings+modern techno/drum loops.

Well, Matt's Razorback is actually the regular version, not the 255 version...... which means 22 frets and the standard S.D/Dean Humbuckers.

Looks really cool, but I'm happy with my Dimslime 255

ok, that Heafy guitar couldn't be USD1200...too good to be true because there are only 22 of them in this world and that guitar is epic. Should cost at least about USD5k.

Deans headstock looks very susceptible to damage. So big!! You're bound to hit it on something lol D:

and he told me in ampang got 60s ford mustangs for around RM20-25k...very tempting...

The big and angled headstock actually contributes to the tone, that's what the guitarcenter dude told me.

Thats why Yngwie insists on playing 70s strats, big headstock
And thats why Gibsons use 17 degree headstock angle (higher tension so you get stronger string response) and snapping potential =p
but whatever sounds good. For references sake, many other copies use 14 degree headstock angle, therefore it doesn't snap that easily

actually its not the headstock u have to worry about.
its the huge ass wings that u will definitely knock against something.

those sharp pointy little designs on the razorbacks are like 'calling' for a knock to chip them off... that's the first impression I got that's why if I want to get a Dean, I'll most probably get an ML.

Not yet. It's arriving mid Sept, which means I can only pick it up in October when I'm back from Europe :(

My friend explained to me that you're supposed to slap the strings marked 'x' and at the same time play the open strings. It would help to know the name of this technique so i can Google around for more pointers. Currently blundering around the Net for lessons. =\

the X normally means that you don't play the strings. In your case, you just play the B and E strings.

Also, the White Matt Heafy guitar here. Going for about 3k USD.

mute the strings with the 'x' with your left hand, then pluck/strum them giving a percussive 'cluck' sound. your B and E should be played as usual.

if its only the B and E string, itll be written as

yea i really like the gold and white theme on the razorback but i really cant afford that guitar.its like 20k here.

I seriously doubt whether that Heafy White/Gold Razorback is genuine. The no. seems tampered and as far as I know, there were no new replicas of that model ever since late 2005 if I've not mistaken.

However, if it's really a real deal, even USD4k is cheap. I've been eyeing that razorback for like years after seeing Heafy using it for Rock Am Ring LOL... I definitely prefer this over his Rising Sun ML.

the gold/white razorback is a limited run of 22 and it's made in USA Dean's Custom shop and it's freaking expensive around $5k+++

That's why I'm suspicious of the 2007 model appearing in ebay...must be a fake

its not the fake its just the regular version,22 frets,rosewood fretboard, not the dean usa version whihc is 3k++usd
