pFFT. Any EPIC Metal Song should have Double Bass!
Otherwise, just go for some Maiden classics like The Trooper or Number of the beast.

Best play something uptempo/headbang-able
Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet?, Sixpounder, Bodom Beach Terror
Trivium - Like Light to Flies, Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr
A7X - Unholy Confessions
Metallica - MOP, anything else you want
Megadeth - Tornado of Souls, Holy Wars, Hangar 18
There are some double bass stuff in there, but you could change a few parts

Everdying, I have Black Stone Cherry's first album. The only reason why I found out was because they were the opening act for BLS a few years back

And the MXR Wylde Overdrive (ZW44) is a completely different beast then the Digitech Heavy Metal. The ZW44 is meant to BOOST your existing signal, rather then give you a distorted sound. Sure, it distorts your sound abit, but it's not the amount of Gain you'll be expecting.

If you already have a MicroCube, just save up for a good amp (preferably tube). The Microcube is already good enough for the time being unless you're planning on serious gigging or something.
Btw, i posted a short vid on Youtube. Tell me what you think and comments on what i can improve. Thanks.

Haha, very dissapointed with that video. I don't know why i keep screwing up and playing unclean whenever anyone starts recording.

But the Demmel is sweet man! Smooth fretboard, nice balance, good one. The only complaint i have is the upper fret access is not as good compared to my RG.

Hi,
Just a Q.
I've just restrung nylon strings on fren's classical guitar but it doesn't seems to stay in tune.
First time using nylon string n hav tis problem. The nylon string seems 'lembik' when compared to acoustic strings.Anyone face tis problem too?
Cheers...

I think you need to make a good tie at the tuning peg and the bridge to stay in tune better. And in my limited experience, nylons seems to take more time to stay in tune after string changes.
Nylons are really lembik mahh..nothing wrong with that

I'm budgeting RM5k for my next axe. Either an RR24 or RR-TN02, i'll flip a coin when i have the cash. A huge jump from my first RG which cost RM1.5k. Its all about how much you're willing to spend on quality. Remember, with a higher price comes higher quality.

Again, it's based on your needs. Does that 5k justify your needs for THAT guitar? I wanted the Herman Li Signature Egen, but 11k does NOT justify the needs. But a 5k guitar that is well made, plays like a dream and will last you forever might be more worth it. FYI, I don't have an endless bank account. If I did, you'd see Gibsons and Vintage Marshalls lining up my room already.

I never said "The ONE"...... I said "last you forever", by that I mean you'll still play it say 10 years from now.
But even I agree there can never be THE ONE for us GASers.

And IpohBoY, like ever say, a Chorus and Delay is pretty important, but I would say go for a Wah! If you're a rock or metal player, you'll almost certainly need a good wah. The dunlop GCB-95 is a good place to start.
On a side note: I have been listening and watching...... but mostly watching..... an unhealthy amount of Paramore..... What can I say...... Orange haired chicks are hot.
Side Note Number 2: Does anybody know where I can commission a custom Acoustic Guitar? Doesn't have to be THAT fantastic..... but I want a custom one for my dad's birthday as I kind of Broke his first acoustic when I was 13

Wow, you're a lucky beginner. When most of us started, we only had enough money to get 1 effect and that was it for the next 4-5 years!
To be honest, I had a good collection of effects before but ever since I got a better amp, the only one I use is the CH1 Chorus. Nothing beats the tone of a fantastic amp, with a good reverb and a touch of chorus for clean lines -> e.g. Strat into a Fender HotRod Deluxe + a touch of chorus - ala SRV!
So, my suggestion is to save your money and get a decent amp and a better axe. Good luck!
