the tremol-no has a tendency of the little screw that holds in place it breaking.

while the tremsetter is a free floating spring based device that returns the trem to zero position, tho u will feel a little 'click' at the zero position.

basically the way i see it.
tremol-no is for ppl who dont want to use the trem, hence the word no.

tremsetter works pretty well for those with low end trems that dont normally return to zero, ie. keeps it in tune better after trem use.

all you metal shredders out there,

share some light on how you manage to sync your picking with your fingering. Im having so much trouble, trying to play Racer-X's Scarified, the chorus is just a pain in the ass. Yet, when you see how its properly done, it doesnt even look fast! Ffs.

So yeah, how'd you manage to do it?

*bonus, anyone has a video of them playing Scarified? i would love to see it
nerd
I can't play Scarified, haven't been practicing much lately tongue.gif

but general rule to improve left and right hand coordination is.. slow to fast. play the parts slow then gradually build up speed.

even PG didn't shred out of his mama's tummy smile.gif

sarcasm spotted! haha, come onnn, post a video of you playing it !

There' are so many PG lessons out there, he's such a great teacher too. Some how, the way he puts things into place, makes so much sense, then Vinnie Vaughn, or JP. Have you seen Petrucci lessons? They just dont make sense to me =/.

I remember seeing 1 lesson from PG, where he said something like "this is how you should start with, this lick, and that, add the 8th note, then do it really slow, and build up speed..... oh and i forgot, if you have a girlfriend, she's gonna hate you for it" LOL

blacktrix
I really found the PG videos EXTREMELY Helpful to nail those hard to reach PG spots. I now try to watch and use the techniques as much as possible..... but after 1 month of no guitar, I think I need to relearn alot of things!

Currently learning Technical Difficulties, but still a way off before I'm able to be able to post a video. But about the syncing, your best friend is a metronome. Start slow, and slowly pick up speed. Practicing triplets would be a good start, since PG does a lot of them. I know, these are what people always say. But there is no other way, you HAVE to start slow and be patient. Haha, good luck.

EDIT: Another important thing to master is not to lift your fingers off the fretboard too high. This is mainly what most people overlook. And the problem is, most people are too used to it, its quite hard to relearn this technique and hover your fingers close to the fretboard instead. Even I am having a really hard time with this, should have started earlier. sad.gif

holy crap that last bit of info just smacked me in the face lol. Been playing for more than 10 years now, and I never really thought of that! Thx for the little piece of advice, im gonna go home and see how much of it i've been doing.

FFS!
fatboythin
Haha, I've been playing for 2 years and its so hard to stop the habit. You might find it a little more difficult. Good luck. tongue.gif
blacktrix
I've been playing for around 8 years and it's still a habit......
But if I keep practicing, I should get better.

Wanna ask about Boss single effect adaptor. Let's say if i have four single-pedals. So I will need daisy chain and the small little cable right? ANd which adaptor should i look for cz as i know boss have 2-3 different adaptors for pedals
Ramin
The best solution is a Visual Sound 1 Spot adapter (1700mA) w/ MC5 Multi-Plug 5 Cable - capable of powering several 9V pedals at a time. The Guitar Store sells 1 Spots @ ~RM90+ (discounted); whereas BOSS PSA-230P adapters cost ~RM95 (link to burgercis) and they're only 200mA.

I noticed that the Roland U.S. PSA-120P power adapters have a higher max current output of 500mA to safely power 4-5 BOSS pedals but I haven't seen the PCS-20A Parallel DC Cord sold locally.

Cheaper alternatives such as the MOEN MO PA Power Adapter (600mA) and MOEN MO DC5 Daisy Chain are also available.

compared the bandit with marshall vs series(or was it avt).

the marshall is more treblish, while the peavey is more bassy.
the peavey bandit can sounds honky sometimes, if u dun get the setting right. haha.
