Full Version: Keyboard not responding

Hey,

my Macbook's (2.2GHz SR chipset) keyboard would sometimes not respond to the first few keystrokes. Normally, I would leave the keyboard idle for a few minutes, then when I continue typing, it would not register the first letter of the sentence.

For example, in Adium, when the keyboard is left idle for a couple of minutes, I would like to convey the message "Hey watcha doing now?" but the messgae would end up to be "ey watcha doing now?"

This would only happen when I leave the keyboard idle. When being used constantly, like when typing this post it would not happen. It's as though the keyboard is in sleep after a few minutes, and the first key pressed is to wake the keyboard up.

It gets quite frustrating at times. Help..

This is a known problem. Very frustrating indeed when you spend close to £1500 on a "premium" computer which doesn't even have a keyboard that works right. As for the fix, well, I don't know.

Yes, I realised it is a known issue. And, alas, I have already even downloaded that patch prior to asking here. Still does not work sad.gif

Thanks! Didn't know it would be that serious to resort to bringing my machine in..but I'm flying off soon so I might just send it to one of the stores at the destination I'm flying to. Thanks once again. smile.gif
