noob question here.
how to know whether the mobo bottleneck or not?
cstkl1
Jul 6 2008, 04:29 AM
updated with some crysis high and very high benchies
for bottleneck
theres 2 bottlenecks for single card concern.
1. CPU
2. MEM
theres 3 bottlenecks for multi gpu concern
1. CPU
2. MEM
3. PCIE Bandwidth
theres been a debate whether the p45's 8X 8X config compared to a x38 16x 16x pcie 2.0 on the HD4870.. will cause a bottleneck..
so far.. i think not..

Hello bro.. nice results and thanks 4 sharing
From your statement "Dont see any bottleneck on this board compared to all the x38s and x48's crossfire benchies so far
".. did u mean P45 x8 x8 config performance is good as X38/48 x16 x16 config?
Just wondering coz I'm P45 user too

Nice job la bro ur mini review.Very useful for noobie like me. But the score look like abit different oni than 4850 CF. I mean the 3DM Vantages score. Maybe becoz of tat 4850CF using X38. GPU score diffrent about 2000 score oni.

ofcoz i've seen it and even started a thread in lyn early may. what i meant was what kind of capacitors used in YOUR M2F that bought in MALAYSIA rather than review or sample board else where.
i'm concerning this because review or sample board are showing in used of full red(fujitsu) capacitors where consumer boards are different (red+blue)
take a look at pictures below and go compare with those so call high res photos on the web.

Jul 10 2008, 09:48 PM
nb temp..
well i replaced all the thermal paste and thermal pads with my own when i took the board..
at 1.35v on memtest86 test on rams at 2.3v.. nb temps went up to 61.. thats the highest.. on crossfire..
post me the link
Added on July 10, 2008, 10:44 pmok i read it..
yea u want to know y
kekek simple just change the thermal paste under the heatsink and especially on the NB removable plate.. both of them..
thats y.. its not tight enough..
thats what happened to me..
but i also sanded the copper... on the removable nb.. its wasnt clean..
so far mine is all red..
same as ace combats..

61C is okay at 1.35v with 2 hd4870 crossfire..
removing that hsf.. that small block.. at 1.1v will result in 70C...
i tested it already..
dont u know whenever u run dual cards ure NB will increase?? at least by 10C??
