If you can't go to the Support Office for some reason, then try:

asus notebook generally comes with 2 years warranty.
go to asus royal club to claim your warranty.
or you can sent to highpoint timesquare too for service. they will take care for you.

this is how it looks like.. I wanna know.. is there any service centers in penang?? I don't wanna go back to the guy i bought cause i use my lappy on a regular basis, and getting things fixed as soon as possible is important..

Like many have said, if it's under warranty, use the warranty.
If not, then you have little choice but to take it to a service center & wait for it to be fixed (Definitely will be delayed & overpriced a bit)

thats the exact same prob i had with my asus a8m ...

i went to their service center at wisma sps and they changed for the the entire casing for free cos still got warranty ...

its been more than 6 months already ... and the replacement casing is definitely better than the last original one it came with ...

Wisma SPS, same building with Imbi Plaza, U can find the Asus Service Center easily.

but give them a call b4 go, 03-21480827, tell them ur problem and let them prepare the parts first in case they dun have stock.
