Anyway, messenger plus is a very good add-on for your Window Live Messenger.

Actually I am not. Messenger Plus is really that good, deserving all the plaudits it can get. TS should try it him/herself and see it first-hand.

its like what TweakUI is to Windows XP...many configurations and settings that are awesome...and scripts that can do cool stuffs...

first, live messenger is already a bloatware. There are tons of features not used by most users. Add this messenger plus and you get another ton of features not needed. Since you need to be running messenger all the time, a lot of resources are wasted just to run it.

I am using trillian and it's working fine for me. A lot less bloated stuffs.

the ony reason i install this addon is because of the color nick...

msg plus can make use of customised color of ur own preference and keep wat u got in ur history. thumb up for it

As a person doing business on the internet, I have tried almost all of the freeware alternative msn client. Miranda is not bad but not as good as trillian (at least for me). It has a lot less features than trillian and GUI is less intuitive. Having less feature means less bloated as well but doesn't mean better. There should be balance between usability and resource hogging. Also, miranda is not as stable as trillian. I find miranda get disconnected now and then with MSN. But I only used it for a while as I did not like it. Maybe it's the interface or maybe it's the features or combination but it was quite some time ago.

BTW, trillian also is able to save chat history. No need add on.

I just use it to see who just online and when the person offline.

And the most important is 'Ctrl+Space' to hide my MSN when my boss come near my desk.

I like the colors, hacks, and it's functions. Nevertheless the very useful message archiver.

I like the function able to hide if ur boss is around. Also there's log for chatting. And of course my fav is the multiple chat in one windows only.

Until now it still running without crashing my pc, so I suppose it is a good software.

well i can say i get frequent dc when using trillian too. miranda is free and only trillian basic is free not the pro. basic lacks of plugins and cant customize as much as miranda.i find miranda more stable than trillian since it doesnt crash at startup for me. and just take a look at the memory consumption for trillian
