hi guys i really need some help

i just got a 22" LCD monitor and want to play my PS3
the problem is, HDMI to DVI cable only for video ( tak ada input untuk sound), how does the sound work?
please help, thanx

connect your ps3 AV cable(RED + WHITE) to any HIFI system, In ps3, audio output set to AV output.

Use y-splitter for ur ps3 sound..just RM5-6..

how much did you buy this monitor for?
kinda sucks if it cost more than 1K and doesn't come with an audio out.

i.e. HDMI from PS3 into monitor, audio out from monitor to your speaker system.

You have a misconception there la bro, the sound doesn't come out from the monitor. It's not the same like TV. For sound, you can buy a cheap 2.1 speakers and connect it to your PS3 by using the composite cable that's provided with the ps3.

or so to speak the model does not hv a built in speakers in the 1st place.

Ermm.. I've no misconception here.

I have a 22" LCD monitor (ASUS) which comes with built-in stereo speakers and audio in/out. It cost only RM1k.

So for sound, I only plug in 1 HDMI cable from my PS3 to my monitor and from there, it's link to my speakers (which I share with my PC).
Even if I do not link it to my speakers, sounds comes out from my lcd monitor (not tv). I don't have 2 different cables coming out from my PS3.

hence, I asked how much he paid for his monitor. Kinda not really worth it if he paid more than 1K and it didn't come with these features.

Oh, ini bukan misconception, ini misunderstanding.

Because why, pencacai never told us whether his monitor has built-in speakers or not (which of course, your ASUS monitor has)

So, I just assumed pencacai's monitor is your basic LCD monitor with only DVI/VGA.

Heck, not all monitors have audio la bro. Some only. I.e like your Asus Or Dell LCDs with SoundBar capability (like my 2407WFP)
