1st of all wat case r u using . . . front usually intake, rear exhaust, top exaust. If side panel . . . up to u.
air from front then blow out at the bec like tat quite effective...
as most ppl said..take the air in from front...then blow it out at the back..
at my personal opinion, back fans use higher cfm will be better...haha...just my opinion aa

hmmm..if can get balance also okie one...but better dun put the intake fan with higer cfm..tats for sure..unless ur casing is open ..haha

preferbaly high cfm exhaust, low cfm intake . . . negative pressure in casing, suction will occur so easier cool air will enter. Mine 5 exhaust, 3 intake.

Having more exhaust fans than intake fans is likely better because you need to get rid of hot air, rather than 'recycling' it. Cool air can be forced into the casing as casings aren't fully sealed, it'll make it's way somehow.
IMHO, creating negative pressure in your casing is a good thing. You can't use this concept with a positive pressure setup as you there will be more volume of cool air, you would likely be pushing out cool air via the gaps instead.
Positioning plays an important part too. Hot air is lighter than cold air, which rises so exhaust fans should be at the top and at the back of the casing, unless you like hot air blowing beside at your face. Also, there's no point if there's an intake fan next to an exhaust fan. Be sure to check for 'air traps' in your casing as well, where 'used' air cannot escape and gets stuck due to the airflow.

ya la if balance the dust will go out perfectly rite..no dust in casing mean good airflow..huhhuhu..
Dust also is 1 of my concern 
My friend suggest front intake back pull out. Those cap ayam case fan the air flow worried me, seem like not enough, but those strong air flow the sound scared me
