I'm sure everyone have seen TV shows where on the top corner got channel logo.
Is there a way to remove such logo ?

I'm sure those experts in LYN will teach me how to do it

i think that logo is sumsort of hardcoded into the video files so theres no way to remove them.. but perhaps someone can come and show how to do the tricks...

You can rotoscope it out using Nuke.

Thinking back, I don't think the correct term is to remove it,
but rather to put transparent layer on top of the logo.

Not really possible, since its watermarked.

You can try to cut off the bottom and top side to make the video into true cinematic ratio(your vid will be even smaller) though.

Use ffdshow logoaway filter:-

Apply this ffdshow filter to remove ITVSport logo:


After:


ITVSport logo is airbrushed out of the video.

Anyway, is it permanent? I mean once the logo is airbrushed does it remove the logo permanently? Or do I need to do the step everytime I open the same file?

I hope the method shown can remove the logo permanently, but I can keep the original file (the one with the logo) just in case the new vid (without the logo) messed up during the making of the new clip

It isn't permanent. To make it permanent, the video has to be transcoded.

The way I see it, from the clip with the logo already removed, can I put it in some software like Windows Movie maker and create the new clip?

Go wait until 1024kbps comes here and teach you how to transcode. Should be doable with VirtualDub.

uh, im not encoding pro,
i dont even know how to transcode my dvd, how should i teach ppl?

oh well, first u have to get virtualdub, extract all the files from zip, put at default "program files" folder.
then get ffdshow, install it with default settings, the installer will detect the virtualdub presence and install ffvub into virtualdub plugin folder.

run virtualdub and load the videofile u wan to remove the logo,
press ALT + V, select full processing mode, then go to "filters", click "add" button and search for ffvdub,
double click it, and u will see the similar picture that shown by asellus,
go to "logoaway" filters and tick it to enable it, adjust the setting.
click "preview" button on bottom to view the applied setting.

and its not finish yet if u wan to know which video compressor to use...

So, the logo can be removed.

If it is .rmvb or .avi converted from .rmvb?
