Erm, ya..i hang at the in game menu. The menu where u can exit and select the option will not hang. But in gaMe menu will hang. Btw, me using lap top too with CS 1.6. Erm, bout the compatibility issue, how to change ?
Added on July 1, 2008, 2:32 pmto catalan90_V,
i think u juz need to change the compatibility in the properties of the counter strike u're playing. Check the box "run this program compatible to" then choose windows xp SP 2 or wat. Haha

. I manage to solve it

I don't think is a CS port for Mac. There is however native CS for linux (if im not mistaken) or you can run it through wine or cedega.

About the vista problem, maybe you should start dual booting with XP for games?

HEY! found a solution if u guys hang in MOTD. in the cs 1.6 directory... go in to cstrike folder.. find any file that has MOTD such as MOTD.txt or MOTD_HTML.. n etc.. n make those files to read only.. then it wont hang anymore.. tested 100% working. n btw if u guys got steam on ur lappie and u hav 1.6 standalone.. it conflicts for sum reason.. i hav tht problem.. when i download steam and install it.. the cs1.6 stand alone will hang when loading precaching resources.. after i unistall steam, evrything works fine.. HL engine hav problem with steam.. i hav a legit cs 1.6 and cz.. n i also have stand alone 1.6 and cz.. with steam around.. no way to play stand alone.. any HL engine aso cant.. even cs source.. i hope it helps
