hello there ,

recently i found a powerful software for video file editing.

i would like to brighten up & sharpen up some of my movies .

i tried to apply 'levels' & 'sharpen' simultaneously to d movie , when previewing it , surely much brighter & sharper .

but, after save it as a movie file, i open tat file in windows medis player , it just displayed as d original non-editted movie , stil look dark & not sharp.

i wonder how to apply filters in virtualdub ?

may someone guide ......... thanks

You can try ffdshow, it can apply sharpening + level filter in real time,
so you can save time without edit the video with virtualdub.

You can try to re-convert the video file with those settings applied (for permanent solution if you don't want to adjust it constantly)

You need to reencode the whole movie for it to take effect.
