Wangsa Metroview condo apparently WILL NOT HAVE TM fixed line until November.
However I think MacroLynx would be providing broadband service there though. You need to check with the Building Manager.

1) Telekom said only in November
2) He went to TMPoint Titiwangsa, was told that phone line application for the condos were not submitted but he has the forms and he showed it to them so there was a discrepancy
3) Telekom promised by end of June
4) Telekom said in 2 weeks time
5) They are energizing the MBF room, should be ready soon
6) Someone in Block A is using 4MB line, apparently if you use fast Streamyx connection, they can pull the line from the buildings nearby
All of the above are in no chronological order. And only recently, my brother asked him yesterday and was told "by the 15th".
Of course there's no point in raising a whole brouhaha with him on this because, heck what can he do. I've gone to TMPoint Titiwangsa about 5 times since moving in and have always been told it's not ready and probably months before will be ready; 2-3 maybe 4-5 months.
After all of this, I'm thinking of trying wireless, IZZI or 3G. Of course I heard it's bad for online gaming but will try anything from this point on. Going 3 months with no development with the phone lines is poor service.

I checked with my friend and she said Macro Lynx is just waiting for the Benny to sign the approval for them to deploy the service there. Looks like your building manager also abit the slow

hi..seems like we are all have the same problem...i'm currently staying in block a and have been here for nearly 3 months without any updates from the management about the internet connection..
juz want to highlight wat u mentioned in no.6, if it is true, how that person managed to get the connection?i assume, only streamyx has 4mb connection. so that person must have a fixed telephone line while all of us here can't get it?

Obviously he was lying through his teeth about this. If there's no phone line to begin with, where are you going to get the wired connection from? We don't use fibre optics. And if only one unit can get a wired connection, why not

I note that I was able to detect WLAN connections around my area when I used my phone to scan for WLAN (9th floor). All the networks are locked (private/secure networks) so had to enter WEP key. I'd wanna know what service they are using..if anyone of you uses a wireless service, please advise and comment on the service here (I'd shout out "who owns this network name" but that'd require thick face)

yup..i do notice it too...i can detect about 10 APs and one of it listed the block name which is definately in metroview..
though others could come from the nearby houses or the menara alpha condo...
so, if any of u r currently using the wireless service, pls share it here, really appreciate it ;D

A lot of people occupying the buildings now so I don't think there's little/few application done, much less interest in having the phone lines available.
Problem is we don't know who to trust; the building manager or TM; one says next week or maybe 15th, other says 2-4 months.

My friend's friend work at MYnet at desa setapak there. he said today tm will send a mail to them stating when the port will be ready.. that's what i heard from him la.. if need to wait for months, i will switch to celcom broadband

Yeah, my friend works in Macro Lynx. i called her and she said the building manager not signing the approval letter. weird. also according the her, streamyx was suppose to be in already as the building manager said 15 July ma. apparently streamyx still not in am I right?

From what I know about the service is that it is symmetrical speed, meaning 1Mbps package, it is 1Mbps download and 1Mbps upload.
i think package price is the same as streamyx minus the phone charges as phone line not required and installation is cheaper at RM150

Phone lines have been installed and you can now apply for your phone line at Wangsa Metroview! I applied for my line earlier today, now waiting for contractor to setup the phone at my place. Have paid for installation and have my number too.
I went to TMPoint Titiwangsa after getting confirmation from building manager yesterday, saying it was done 2 days ago and his office has phone line now. At TMPoint, the guy at the reception counter said "belum ada line lagi, masih waiting list". I argued that our manager had said it is ready, so he asked me to call the manager to get his office number. While I was calling, the guy checked his system and then realized "oh shi...". He then proceeded to process my application and asked "nombor ini boleh? nombor cantik la..". Went to the manager's office and came back saying "metroview dah ada line..".
Paid my RM135, got my free house phone and left.
So if anyone there tells you it is not ready yet, tell them to check their system or ask their manager on duty.

EDIT: once you have your phone line installed, check with Andrew, the Streamyx agent at the multi-purpose hall at Block C if you want to apply for your Streamyx through him.

Streamyx not done yet, I still haven't had my phone line installed, TM contractor hasn't visited me yet. Should be in the next few days, I expect by Tuesday to have my phone line ready. After that, will activate Streamyx which should take 2-3 days.
After registering and paying at TMPoint, normally takes up to 7 days for them to get a contractor to go to your place to setup your phone line.
-Phone line, apply at TMPoint. For Streamyx, you can ask Andrew at Block C or apply at TMPoint as well.

for phone line i have to go to tm point myself to register ? then for the streamyx, find the streamyx agent?
then how about the streamyx combo package? the combo package include fixed line fone and streamyx rite?

The combo package yes includes fixed line as well. But I don't know the full details about it as I didn't ask. I only know what I did 5 years ago when I applied for my phone and Streamyx line which was done separately.
In this case, best to check with Streamyx agents or Andrew for clarification, sorry

Yes. Telephone line is ready to install there. We are also streamyx agent and now apply with us and you can get Free Brand new Logitect camera worth RM69.00. with Combo 90, 110, 140 and 160. Get a Brand New sonic gear headphone with Combo 60.
