#1 lack subject. i know the subject is probably the plant with purple flowers la but it blends so well with the background.

#2 good attempt! but try a higher angle. when you see a flower, you want to see the petal formation. unless you're trying to show the stem for science class la. tongue.gif

#3 good attempt too! again, try higher.

#4 - 5 - 6
nice angle, but looks OOF. #5 as if flash was fired. try to PP to enhance the color.

#7 looks ok. i understand the petals are like that. while i don't find the subject interesting, i think you're heading some where.

#8 was flash fired or something? anyway try shoot from the front of the frog. and closer.

#9 nice pattern. i think color could use some enhancement and the picture would look nicer with that red tiny dot on the upper right removed.

#10 biggrin.gif my favourite shot of the lot.

your picture turn out quite soft....by the way, keep up the good work!
probably should use RAW
temptation1314
sweat.gif RAW? I don't even have that basic to process them... sad.gif
Still in very very begineer stage..
orenzai
ok just a piece of my mind smile.gif

1. too messy..should go nearer and focus on one subject
2. the flower is facing upwards..sideview cant see the "face" of the flower...
3. nice try...you might wanna try to go nearer/try diff angle to get a more plain background
4. you focused on the left part of the flower..best if you are focusing on the stigma
5. its not really good to use direct flash to shoot close-up. a lot of harsh shadows will be produced.my suggestion: meter the background and use an under-compensated flash. take note of the background too.to tackle the background if too messy, use high shutter speed as it doesnt affect the flash.
6. i like this shot but its OOF. should be focusing on the middle of the flower smile.gif take note of the right-hand bottom too smile.gif
7. This flower is kinda common and since it has long petals its quite hard to get a very special angle.try diff subject
8. since this is shot by a fired flash, why not go to the highest shutter speed possible to make the background pithc black if possible so that the frog will stand out...also,shoot from the front and not the back of the frog tongue.gif
9. nice... but need a lil more punch in colors...
10 rclxms.gif
11. very nice shot but DOF a lil too shallow.
12 the flash made the shot not nice sad.gif
13. the dragonfly is underexposed...use spot metering and meter the subject instead of its background smile.gif
14. DOF too shallow...try shooting from front also smile.gif
15. i kinda like this shot biggrin.gif maybe you can try to go nearer with a wider angle so that the web would be more protruding?
16. the subject is too small and its dead-center. a shot gone wrong sad.gif
17. very nice shot...might wanna brighten up the shot a lil..coz its black
18. looks like a norm snashot unsure.gif
19. rclxms.gif i luv this shot biggrin.gif
20. OOF and color lack of contrast
21. the background it distracting and the subject is underexposed...use spot metering
22. i like how to wings are flapping but the color lack of punch. the subject is too small also. try not to put yr subject dead-center
23. this would be a perfect shot if only the DOF wasnt that shallow.

all in all what i noticed from yr photos:
-DOF too shallow
-OOF
-color kinda pale..dunno why sad.gif
-subject dead-center, makes it look very normal/tiada oomph

haha...after one long post, hope you dun mind me being soooooo long-winded smile.gif

doh.gif sorry for the overexposed sky.... Didn't notice it while taking this picture from inside the cave...
TheVoIP
I like your butterfly park pictures... except suffer from some OOF issue. This part usually we dun blame camera la... because always use manual focus...

If you do not have good macro solution, turn your focusing distance to minimum, then adjust your camera to get the focus... At least it is what I did.. tongue.gif
GymBoi
Hmm .. no offence but ur butterfly park pics .. none of them is sharp ? Are you pushing your aperture to the max ? If you do that with kit lens, you'll get soft pic like tat ... try bigger f number
temptation1314
biggrin.gif Actually the butterfly park was a big big mistake

because I forget to re-adjust back my focus point after 4th pics.. doh.gif

That's why everything gone OOF
