Full Version: DVD burning problem

Hi guys,im facing a problem.
I have burned all files by dragging into DVD-drive in my Vista.

But it cant be opened in window XP...

But only can open in Window Vista.


Do u guys face this problem before?


Normally whaT Software do u guys used2 burn files to DVD?

Please advise....Thanks all Gosu.

Before you burn the files, just when you insert a blank DVDr/CDr & select the D drive (or whatever your DVD burner is).. click on the "show formatting option" trigger by default it's ticked "live file system" if you use this option the disc you burn will only be readable on Vista.
If you tick "Mastered" it's readable on all Windows OS but you cannot add files later on, so it's write once only.

if u choose live file system...i still can read at window XP..
lower window version cant read it...

Even if it's a DVD-RW, you can't add or rewrite files after burning at "Mastered"?

According to the "Mastered" statement, I'll have to say it's not possible unless you format the DVDRW first?... I'm not sure though since I don't use DVD-RW on my Vista.
