The best cocktails I've had are:
- lindt daquiri
- toblerone
- japanese slipper

and of course the classics
- cosmopoliton
- magherita

One I stay away from:
- long island ice tea (total killer!!)

I guess just a post to see what cocktails ppl like - i might even possibly try them, but nothing too potent
i dont like sambuca or brandy.

suggest you try flaming lambo or graveyard.

like i said i dont like drinks to strong - ive heard bad stories about the flaming lamborghini, yeah sex on the beach is not bad, just order it for the name right? illusion - isnt that a premixed drink? or is it a cocktail with midori and other stuff, what is in a b52 shot?

do want too strong ahh? Take daiquiri, screwdriver (vodka + orange juice)...or take those fruity based cocktails - they're usually less strong

Favourites to start the evening:
Sangria (The one in CAVA bangsar is the best. La Bodega's would be second. Italiannies does a shitty one)
Bloody Mary (As long as it's campbell's tomato juice it would be good. the other brands are too watery)

when I have to order something:
Vodka Lime (A bar without this drink should close it's doors)
Lychee Martini ( some like a hint of kwaifei liquer in this )
Cider (not a cocktail - only at Finnegan's)

When I need a show piece:
Graveyard (always share this one! never take it alone)
Margarita (Frozen is nice but lacks the kick )
Apricot Brandy( not alot of places have this - not really a cocktail XD)

The one I will never forget:
Imperialist Running Dog From this bar! I absolutely love this one. 1 part gin, 1 part vodka, 2 parts apple juice, 1 tbs lemon juice, a little granadine for sweetness and a generous helping or fuji apple slices. I have never been able to find it anywhere else *_*


I have drank loads, sampled plenty but I always seem to go back to my vodka lime. Sometimes the basics are the best

I love Sex on the Beach and Tequila Sunrise.

I will try all those drinks that u recommend when I go to Malaysia for a holiday with some friends after I graduate. Any other clubs/bars/pubs near Bangsar cos my friends and I will be living at my grandmas there? You really seem to know where to go for a good time in Malaysia

You're going to be staying in Bangsar? Then you're in for a good time. Bangsar is full of pubs/clubs - whole rows of em.

avoid everything on the rocks (liquor with ice - no mixers), with energy drinks (eg: vodka redbull, 100 plus) and in shots.

I dont know what it is about the long island but it always goes straight to my head,
even my guy friends they get a hangover the next morning if they drink it

coz its a mixture of 5-6 liquors. Cas, where the best place that makes Long Island? I love the ones in Laundry bar

OH ho ho! Bangsar is the best of nice bars. I like going to Alexis. If you want to venture out of bangsar, Laundry, like mentioned above, in The Curve Damansara ( about 15-20 minutes away from bangsar) is good. Good food, Good Drinks and you can walk in in shorts and slippers ^____^ Sangria's a good if you like fruity. Spanish Red Wine, orange juice and nice chunks of fruit The heritage row in KL is not bad if you are prepared to pay. Any bar there would be good.

If you want to go Clubbing and are above 21 (or was it 24?) you can head to Zouk and go for their special areas. I'm a bit old school so I prefer going to Novo for the Jazz. More clubs up and down Jalan Sultan Ismail but they are a bit passe by now. You can also try Sri Hartamas (15 minutes from bangsar) nice clubs that are not too big and a good amount so you can bar hop. I like going for korean BBQ at Dao Rae Garden before hitting the pubs ^__^ I start my drinking there with thier 'Chamisul Sohju'. Good stuff! Like Firewhiskey Best with all their spicy food XD

I love Mojito @ Laundry Bar/Itallianies @ The Curve.

Novo is on 12 SI or at least used to be... it was that place at the corner of the junction with the open concept sitting i.e.: breathing in car fumes la ^__^

Jazz, u remind me of one of my friends i met on exchange to hk, he was obsessed with jazz places we went to the most random places to find places that would play jazz. I definitely like more background jazz more than anything else.

When u said prepared to pay? what do u mean, as dont really know how much it costs for drinks anyway. I dont think i would like Sohju if that is anything like saki, yuk or bai jui double yuck.

I just had a very nice caiphirinia at Telawi Bistro yesterday ^__^ Would have loved to go for the bloody Mary as the bench mark but the table decided to get a bottle of rather nice Muscat so it's all good Just another excuse for me to go back there again XD

Depends on what you like? Sweet? Sour? Alcohol-ish after taste? Or just an out of this world experience? Prices around the market these days are about 26-28 for a regular cocktail and the more heavy duty ones costing about 35.

Strongest - Graveyard - a total killer

Best Taste - Strawberry Daiquiri - crowd pleaser

wouldn't the strongest be sambuca, u know when ppl light it up and then inhale it, not my taste but each to their own.

yup loved the strawberry daquiri if your ever in hk and are female, on thursday night free strawberry daquiris at club bodega in lkf, man i miss hk!

luna bar or sky bar? I've been to the latter. If you think that heritage row is expensive, wait till u go to those two places. Wear something really cooling if u go to skybar, its hot and i dont really like how dangerously close the tables are to the pool. Im worried i might fall into the pool. Plus a friend of mine got drunk once, and it was hard getting her from the tables passed the pool to exit the club
