I've installed it, setup my MSN account in it, but when i msg anyone ..
No replies .. and i can't see everyone on my contact list ..

Some of the contact's name is totally blank ..

if you are login on the fring, then you subscribe; say on YM, just wait it will appear all your contacts there...
and now you can enjoy chat...

the YM on fring will not show your MSN contacts. please correct me if im wrong.

I suscribe both MSN and YM .. and both contact appears at the the same time, but it's not complete ..
Some contacts is not in .. and it will not refresh properly even there're some contact online ...

i am a YM user, so its not surprising if i have some MSN contacts inside my YM account.


upon using fring, my MSN contacts will not appear on the YM online list. same problem with meebo as well. so far, ebuddy can sort out these problems just find. or alternatively try the built in web based YM, but the iphone safari doesnt support flash. ouch...

Well mine does ..

Both YM and MSN contact appears in the list .. when i go to communities, both MSN and YM is ticked ..

And on buddy list both side's contact appears at the same time ..

hence my previous statement; ebuddy is the only solution to my problem right now

fring is still in beta if i m not mistaken.

i tried installing the fring on my iphone...though the logo appear in the "home" but when i click on that button its always show "logging into fring" and later on i am booted out to the home page again...i had tried several times of uninstallng n installing this software again but the problem is stillhere...to all the pros out there, please help me....

Ok.. I have try out Skype and MSN, it seems like working fine. Anyway, I did try to use for voice call out through my skype with Fringe..! It's awesome!
Now, Im going to have Free call with SKYPE on Fringe.. ...as long as I get wifi connection.

simple & nice gui messenger apps

But I found a bug with agile messenger when using YM with it. Its not displaying the full contacts like the previous version but the latest one is quite stable.

mine (YM) just shows partial of my contacts. weird...

Thats what happen to me too ... its not showing all the contacts. Its been discuss in Modmyifone.

Agile Messenger 1.0.21 solve the YM contact bug. Now the contacts are back and its been great. I'm just hooked on to it.

my fring works on msn, n ym..but doesnt show any off my contacts from skype..i dunno wether it is not connect to skype or sumthing else...
im on 1.1.4.

besides using skype, you can also use a SIP provider to make free calls. I just tried using www.voipstunt.com they provide free 60 minutes call to Malaysian land lines for trial users. You can also call land lines in other countries like US UK Australia and a few others.

On their website it says if you buy credits you get to make more free land line calls. I think theoretically you can just keep signing in a new account to keep getting free 60 minutes. They keep tab of your IP address though.

Their connection is a lot clearer than skype. There are a lot of other SIP providers out there, anyone else know one better than voipstunt?

Does this software works in Sony ericsson phones as well?
