i've checked here but the resellers link do not work.

You need to get approval for getting that...

.edu.my u need to send your institution registrar information / documents when u registering the domain, as told by my lecturer.

even the word start with F, P, L, C also cannot ....

for .com = anyone can register
for .com.my = you will need a local company certification
for .edu.my = ONLY for education organizations

hi, i'm not familiar and have no experience with website setting and try to ask some questions here as my friend going to set up a simple site for her business.

-her web site is a simple site without database access, or any security requirements, just to display her company products, promote them, and provide tel and address for customer to get them. so, as a simple web site, is that she can don't need to buy a domain? i found some free web hosting, can she set up her site with this free web hosting?

-any disadvantages of using free web hosting?

-or, can she use blog to promote her products? as it's a registered company's products, any restriction in setting up web site? i meant a compulsory to register a .COM or any other law concern problem?

-if using free web hosting, is that she requires to develop the web site, then upload the files to the host?

afaik if you need your own domain, you need to acquire the ownership of that address, therefore you need to buy.

not sure about the legal complications of promoting through blogs though.

btw, anyone knows which host supports .net framework?
