Faster paced, can combine units to create armies, roads have to be bought (instead of built). Too bad the demo has no savegame feature. I can imagine now..... gonna be a zombie in the office because of the "just one more turn" syndrome.
Lemme know if you wanna MP hehe.

Demo i don't think can invite because it only allow player matchmaking and the turn is limited.
My 360 is not off yet, i am still sobbing here because i was betray by AI and my human opponent launch the nuclear warhead at the sea then send me xbl message "hope you enjoy the show" while my best warmachine is a freakin' catapult

how good is the game? i never played RTS games on a console before but i'm used to playing it on the PC. is the control easy?

It's not Realtime strategy, so it works even better. (given that RTS is also playable on console now)
I am playing this game non-stop and work my way up the ladder...Be warned, one game can last up to 6 hours or longer!

Having loads of fun with it, chatting with random people in each game, exchanging strategy or leisure talk.
(compare to the RTS crowd who usually send a big "f u" XBL message when each game end
) Probably all the player of CR are old man
The sense of accomplishment when you are able to protect your civilization knowingly each nation want a piece of you is....unspeakable.
My favourite combo : Chinese (literacy) + Technology + Democracy + abit of culture.
Military might = Bomber + G.Infantry...american style

Yup, the demo is available in every region except asia.
Have you guys check whether the game is region free?
Just had another great game today...was struggling at first when 2 player "ally" with me but station two army infront of my base blocking me from expanding.
So i keep researching kao kao & expand from the sea/island. At the mean time I keep selling technology to the AI to make them stronger then pressure other human player.
Near the end when my technology is on the lead i have air superiority (bomber) + G.I while other player still riding horse. GG

For Asian version (HK), playasia is listing July as the release date. Same as US?
In Take-Two forum, PAL version is said be region free on NTSC console but not sure about NTSC/J.

pal is not region free to ntsc-j and asia.

lol your wife into strategy game? Pretty cool. Anyway, this is a turn-based game.
The difference between the pc & console version is the graphic & depth. Civilization Revolution is more fun for multiplayer because of the pace & accessibility, the graphic is prettier.
AI & depth on the pc version makes it better for singleplayer but it could cost you more than 22 hours for 1 game while CR on an average of 1-2 hours.
Also buying this game equal to buying half of a history text book with all the extras.
Some are really interesting read.

I think only PAL version is out thus far (both platform), US version due out sometime this month together with the
Asia version if playasia source is reliable.
