You should try playing the map man. Then you'll realise how crazy it would be to play the map competitively. it's like the whole map is designed for pointless fun. And no team can ever win!

Ok folks. Time to get back to training. Seeing as there are alot of lyn++ members now, I'm thinking that we create a few more teams and have a mini league of our own. What say you all ?

Let's have a show of hands for those that are interested in this idea. With enough people we can start the ball rolling. Actuallllyyyyyyy I think we can even invite other clans to come into the league as well if they are interested.

As for crude comments left behind by anyone who's made them, I'm surprised none have ever thought about leaving a little history about themselves. Well, at least not all of them. I mean, if you're all 'insight' and have the 'wisdom' of experience gamers to share then why not tell us you participated in 5 WCGs, nickname was MEDIC DOWN from clan; MD, or something.

That'll justify you as a gamer (at least) and let us know...hey, maybe this guy has something to share.

Anyway, if we were to really look at the big picture. I'm waiting for WCG to include TF2 into their game list. ROFL!

And until LYN++ get large sponsors (or they sponsor themselves), we won't be traveling to Singapore (or anywhere outside of Malaysia) anytime soon and setup scrims with teams there.

Woot! Same model as mine, bought it back last year in september, a warning tought, it got heat issue, GPU can shoot up to 100C when gaming which is normal for this model
according to notebookreview.com member.

I can max out TF2 on 1680 x 1050 while hovering at 30 fps.

On the side of the GPU, some user (50%) including me got the stuttering bug ie, the GPU thottle back when reaching certain temp.

Need to sleep the lappy 1st before can game smootly, some suspect ACPI bug.

i bought mine back in July. My work perfectly fine. but.. i think my graphic card died or the mother board. when i turn it on back in my house. everything works fine except there is no display! When i brought it back to ASUS Royal Club *sounds damn royal lol*

HEh.. i suggested that few mths ago, and thats the point (and one of the main reasons) i started the whole "teams" concept

The thing its.. its hard to find members that are committed enough to be in one team and stay on it, not to mention theres hardly ppl wanted to go into training as u peeps noticed.

I hope this kinda of.. err.. "altitude" has change, since our teams has made good impression and could juz make good positive change to the rest of the members here... and get more enthusiast in it.

This msg might be a bit late but congrats guys on the superb outing.

They're not tournaments. They're TOURS. As in, the CCs take turns hosting the event and we all play TF2 there. There's not much to be won, there's not much to be done but to have fun. There of course ARE the people who take it all too seriously. I might be going for the one being held next week as this week I have work commitments to fulfil, having just returned from a 10-day hiatus in Malaysia.

As I had told the guys before, the "tourney" held in Singapore are judged based on kills. As in, you ONLY get points when you kill an enemy player. You don't even get points when you capture a point. So people like the medic do not get any points to say the least (I was at rank 0 all the way through), and points captured are not even considered in the equation. Seemed more like a CS match on TF2 to me.

A tf2 match that is decided on kills alone is a rubbish concept. Might as well just turtle in and defend and let the kills rack up.
