Let's face it, all humans love pretty things. Guy love pretty girls and girls love handsome guys.

You need look to attract before you can even get people to look at your inner beauty. Don't talk BS like "Nah, I will look at personality first". Will you even look at someone if that person is dead fugly? That said, you don't have to be awesome pretty/handsome. You need to look PRESENTABLE. Make yourself looks good, dress properly, do you hair neatly/nicely/fashionably/etc to suit your look. It's how you package yourself. Once you look good enough, people will notice you.

So I say take care of your look the same way you take care of your inner beauty. They are both equally important.

its easy for you to ask alot of question. Ask yourself why are u still single? is it becos u r choosy over a good looking guy with good inner heart? hey there r lots of good hearted man but not good looking. I dun think most of the gals here would rather choose an ugly man with good hearted cos you going to look at them for your whole life.
