can anyone give some advice on what type of screen to get for hd65?

i'm thinking of getting a manual pull-down screen since planning to ceiling mount in living room
htkaki
if you control the ambient lighting, then a matt white 16:9 screen would be ideal. Else, opt for high contrast grey screen.
megatron007
matt white give more brightness smile.gif better white & blue kaler

grey one give darker contracts smile.gif

I'm using HD70... is it can be consired as HD65 also, right?
rx330
no it isnt, u are our big brother, welcum home notworthy.gif
htkaki
Yes, HD70 is the older sibling of HD65. It is more expensive. However, it is no longer in production.
silbii

I m using the setting posted by the review .... just reduce the BC to 5 the rest still the same

anyone use "PETER" setting posted in AVSforum lately?

his one might more toward "HTPC setup" with alot "soft filter" to enhance the image hmm.gif
htkaki
same here. Using the projectorreview setting. Reduce Brightness to -5.
megatron007
my brigtness stay at -ve3 for better detail for dark scene

but the BC reduce to 5 instead of 8

so far to me this setting is best

unless we can do a "colorimeter" test flex.gif
htkaki
Must look for tott to do that for us
megatron007
one of u guys do it can oledi

we apply the setting n adjust from there rclxms.gif

btw... the AI got abit lagging when switch dark to bright scene or VV...it is common? or the unit faulty?
htkaki
U mean like got 'motion juddering'?
rx330
wats the setting?

i think the noise is there, but not bothering me

anything with AI on sure got a bit of lagging one because the video processor need to constantly adjust mar. Same goes with most lcd / plasma tv.
megatron007
okok

then "Stick" to AI "delay"

megatron007

AVSforum discuss-ed with it

I doubt that it is using the same bulb as the HD65 is way more compact than HD70
megatron007
actually there is a so called OEM bulb with part number
