hi i've been using this modem with quite good speed with celcom advanced package .. i just need to increase the signal strength.. thats why i am looking for a pigtail antenna extension.. see the photos included for an idea of the socket..

how big the modem ?
i put option luxury + usb adapter + 16 foot usb active extension cable brand cliptek inside miniral bottle & hanging with 20 foot antenna mask.
cost : rm40 for cliptek usb cable. chine made usb extension cable not work.

3g tower a distance : 5 km, umts signal strengh: 3 bar good

what's the different between active USB extension and normal one on wireless HSDPA modem?

yeah....everything is perfect except the download rate....quite slow la....

Guys,

Should check out VigSys VM10.
They have optimised antenna for UMTS and HSDPA network.
I believe that would solve the requirements for external antenna.
