I know quite a few gamers in Malacca who get their games from KL thou,
it would be great if there is a shop which cater to those who owns PS3, the PS3 console and game price is ridiculous, and there is not much of game selection as well..

I am a gamer from Melaka. Own a PS3 and an Xbox360, as well as a PS2, PSX and a Dreamcast. I would greatly welcome a new games shop and especially one supporting 3rd gen consoles. The current shops available here really SUCK due to the fact that they only sell PS2 games and outdated and lousy games at that. The shops are obviously set up to appeal to a younger audiences due to the abundance of gameboy games and cheap imitation playstation lookalike games that use cartridges. But don't get me wrong, I do not intend to insult those who purchase these items or those who sell them, but rather would like to voice out my opinion as a gamer myself. PLEASE sell or rent out BD/HDDVD games and BD movies. Have a wide selection of consoles and accessories, and repair services for both. Have courteous employees and, most importantly KNOW WHAT YOUR SELLING. If you do this, there is no doubt that you would stand out from the rest. Cheers.

ya..u rite..i oredi some survey at malacca games shop..most of them sold ps2 games..but afaik..malacca games for nextgen console are small..thats the prob...but the planning are still under going..

I'm also from melaka.... once i've search form PS3 game and the only shop that sell it at Makhota Parade (got one also at Tesco) and the price was very expensive. For example, COD4 in KL price around RM200 but at that place they sell RM299 and when nego they just give RM250....very kaw-kaw punya mark-up price.

So, I will be glad if there is a game shop that sell original games at reasonable price. Melaka Mall is a perfect location...near MMU coz I know many melaka gamers are MMU student right? and also near my place...hehehe.maybe can hangout there everyday....

Now we also provide Self collection services at Melacca(MMU area)...various console and accs are available...we can assure our price will not disappoint you.

Me malaccan gamer til next year May. Reason til may is cuz I'm leaving MMU after taht. haha.

DP expensive woah set up shop there. But, I remember a friend of mine said there was someone who was selling PS3 games, but expensive, nearly 300 bucks.

Actually,i asked 1 Gameshop in Bintang Supermarket..The price is quite reasonable for a PS3 40gb+MGS4.(15x0 i think.)

EDIT:im getting ps3 soon though.It would be great if u can open a shop and sell like KL prices.Ill even help u to promote ur shop lol.

i owned a ps3 but in melaka state they dint sell much ps3 games if got also sell expensive i just bought a initial d extere stage yesterday frm my friend shop and they sell me with the price rm250 haha -.- it was so expensive since my kl friend buy it frm kl just only cost rm175 like tht so i would like u to have a shop in melaka mall ( the latest shopping centre melaka ) xD and sell those 3rd generation thinggy as same as kl price and i will help u to promote it

just think abt it if wanna do 3rd generation business in melaka i suggest u melaka mall is the best mahkota parade and dataran pahlawan already have many shops that sells outdated ps2 games and some gay games -.-

hi,regarding ur question...to be freak we all noe that most of the game shop(even those in KL) doesnt give free warranty claim for items like PS3 which is not even launch in M'sia...

be note that they'll tell u one year warranty for free service charge(NOT FREE WARRANTY CLAIM)...so basically it means that the only free thing they'll cover is their service charge..which doesnt include any POSTAGE for warranty claim.

so,the same things goes to here...u can send the console back to our agent but we will not cover the postage fee to send back to our supplier in KL...our vaild warranty for lets say a JP set PS3 covers everything from KL - Japan for warranty claim...so anything be4 the console reaches KL such as postage n etc will be charge accordingly...of course you're more then welcome to personally send the console back to our supplier in KL if u happen that wanna go for a holiday in KL at the same time,since Melacca is not that far from KL...then for that we'll not charge anything at all.

to be honest,it's a lot better then most of the PS3 buyers who will have to hussle all the way down to S'pore if they're buying a SG set PS3...bcaz like i said,shop sellers will not cover postage warranty for free for a PS3 for most of the cases...unless mayb ur console spoil on the spot rite after u purchase it,then that might be a different story.

ya u can go bintang for ask the felle how low can he/she give and also Mahkota Parade and Dataran Pahlawan ... coz only these few shops sells 3rd generation things and oh yea i forgot tesco also have 1 shop selling 3rd generation console

today after work i am going back to malacca...ok..i will..i try to go to all games shop available in malacca...

The consoles also very expensive.I own a ps3 and currently if i buy games have to order online but if got shop in melaka which sells @ reasonable prices something like prices in KL. Ill be glad to buy

i already do a visit to game shop at bintang,mahkota parade, and dataran(dont have enough time to go to tesco)....ya u guys rite..the price a really unbelievable...especially the game price..but wat i can say..the price for the console at bintang is reasonable..coz the price is include 1 piece of game title...im asking the price if wthout the game..they give 1400...but im not sure if there will ask any additional pay..coz most of them sold japan set...and the funny thing happen..one of the shop said the ps3 only japan set only..no others.. look like the seller did not know much bout ps3..at mahkota parade was totally insane price..the game price was much much expensive..i think more 50% than kl price...

summary
mostly the price for ps3 console are between 1500-1600..with basic package and include 1 game....
price for the game are totally insane...

for psp price is same with kl..but with less accessories....

haha so anyme u planning to open a shop in melaka ? and where u plan to open ?

mayb the shop seller meant they only take in Japan set...caz currently distributor tend to import more Jp set rather then Sg set..so if dealers are getting from M'sia distributor,probably they're getting Jp set..unless those game shop which take supplier from s'pore...

i thought of buying PS3 from gamer hideout, but is in PJ ? too far for me and i hate traveling that far to get a PS3.

Bintang Shopping Complex at Batu Berendam/Cheng is selling PS3 at RM 1.6k console, ds3, 6axis , 1 game.

i think if buy multiple sets, maybe can get some discount. therefore, anyone wants to buy in bulk in Melaka?
