Denon got, but Eonon neva heard b4.

I hv done some search on Eonon for a while. It's HK brand but products made in China. Should be much better than pure china brand.
Their tv monitor is using made in japan panel (toshiba etc).
They only do online sale, especially to europe and america.

i just bought and tried the EO646A player at RM399.

the review:
I just bought this unit from rsonline and installed yesterday at brothers.

Pros
1. The design and display is not bad, the whole unit is heavy and solid.
2. Sound quality above my expectation, my ori speakers set is not enough.
3. Can read most of the media: CD, DVD, DVD+/-RW, SD, USB incl. format WMA, mp3, mp4, DivX
4. Auto memory on last played track
5. Very convenient remote control
6. No CD track skip even on bumpy road.
7. CD go into the slot easily, almost need no force to push.

Cons
1. Some button is hard to press (<<,>>,Mode) but problem solved using remote.
2. No track info display if without monitor, so hard to jump to track >20
3. USB only can be used with SD in the slot. (need to verify with Eonon)
4. FM radio signal not stable. I'm not sure it's my anthena problem coz the old radio also have similar problem.
5. Only 3months warranty instead of 1yr.

Overall with the price against the features, i am quite satisfied. Will feedback the problems to the seller and Eonon. Hopefully they can help.

There is another model with the same price as this one, wonder is it good? The design outlook seem better than this one and it is same price. Waiting for your further review for it, if really good, I don't mind to change my stock player.

Btw, can you help me to check whether this player comes with RDS and AF feature? Thanks.

there's another model EO689 which same price and almost same specs.
only different is the front panel design. 689 look more simple and clean.
I think the buttons should be better than 646A.
there is an external AuxIn port for 689 while for 646A is at the back.
But I prefer 646A bcoz can plug USB straight to the HU, unlike the 689 need extra cable.
btw, EO689 is obsolete from Eonon website. but i saw Rsonline still got very few unit only.

sorry can do review on EO689 as i already bought the 646A.

the control knob quite good. not so plastic feel.

I'll use memory card instead of usb drive, easier and smaller space occupie. And 689 seem nicer outlook compare to 646, anyway 646 is copy design from one of the pioneer model.

How about the RDS and AF feature? Is 646 got this 2 features?

P/S May I know what is your previous player before you change to this?

so any one try out the LCD model yet?

the both got the RDS function. but i not sure about the AF yet.
previously my player is the stock Clarion cassette player come with the wira.

837 is cool to have for its touch screen interface and bluetooth handsfree function but the price is over my budget a lot and i dun watch video in my car.
but maybe later i will add the monitor for the rear view reverse camera.

It seem like it is quite a good deal. The only thing that holding me back now is not sure whether it got the AF feature that will auto change to clear channel like from 92.9 to 95.0 like that.

so far so good. have been trying the CD on various driving condition. works perfectly.
but most of the time i will play the SD card.
Now the only problem is my antenna is a bit problem. The reception is not stable since the last player.

I still checking whether it got the AF function. I need it especially when i travel south.
right now i saved different freq for the channel i want in diff band.

Thanks for the information and checking. Do update and let me know once you have found out, will get one if confirm got AF, LOL.

I also read some of the review & feedback in the Eonon forum... some siad we need a booster for the Radio too.???

Most probably online then get it fixed with friend's help. Or maybe ask acc shop can get this product or not, if can then get from them.

i couldn't find the AF function. I think there is no AF.
only got the RDS with AMS function.

What is AMS used for?

Automatic Memory Setting
means it automatically search and save the FM channels in the available memory setting.

LOL, that's a useless feature, never really bother to use that though it has it on most of the player. But anyway, due to the sound quality almost same as stock player, better function, dvd, usb and memory card, I think maybe I can bear with the AF feature....

What OEM HU you are using right now? How much you got that for?

the OEM HU hv no brand, only name is the car manuf name on it. ie Honda. I got it from lelong.my price is RM1250.

He saying his car's old player, not the new EONON player. Like proton car, got the brand clarion but you will never get any information for that model because it is like clarion OEM for proton cars.

guys, did anyone tried eonon 2din dvd type player yet? Or maybe 1 din dvd player? Is it good? I'm planning of buying it if worth the while.

if u look at the 2nd photo and the manual's photo, u will have no doubt it is a EONON 837!
i dunno what's the cable in first photo. but the other cables and connectors look new!

We are not talking about the new player which is EONON, we are talking about his car's OEM player, the stock player = OEM player, get it?

ok. the 1st cable is for the TV antena....

W/ a friend help to install the HU. Here r the ok and problems:

ok:
1. SD card. hv not try the USB drive yet.
2 Bluetooth - H/P hand free & MP3 streaming from H/P is damn good!! (try w/ Samsung i600 & Nokia N73).
3. LCD Display is clear, if the movie can run.
4. Sound out put is good & clear too.

Problem:
1. Radio is not clear... may be need a booster.
2. CD/DVD player is damn fussy on the disc... suka suka it cannot run/read the disc!!! So cannot see moves aiyo... but once it play the video is good. Hv call the Seller he said he will fix it for me.
3. TV cannot see any thing yet.. as I hv not tune it right. but may pass it... watch astro better lah.

So ppl hold on 1st... let see how they gonna fix the 1st 2 problems.

Since I'm not intended to get monitor, I think I can bear with the choosing CD problem as everything will goes to SD card (large capacity, cheap and no skip disc problem will ever happen).

But radio is very important, sometimes keep on listen music also boring, need to listen to radio and it is important to have clear radio.

Hmm...in that case I'll wait for you guys test on the radio first. Is that any problem with the previous stock player? If stock player does gives the same problem then it is not the EONON player problem.

does this china brand unit have fan behind? I just bought a china dvd / mp3 / vcd unit, and when i power it up can hear fan noise.

Kinda loud as well if you turn the volume low, somewhat irritating!
