Update straight to 1.1.4 and throw away the 3rd party SIM (if any) or start fresh.

did u keep on getting " CAll FAILED"??? if yes..baseband corrupted...try resetting the networks setting first...if still cannot. restore in itunes and update to 1.1.4. get winpwn to pwn and unlock ur phone..

either opt for 1.1.2 or 1.1.4

is it when we do restoration via itunes, does its upgrade included firmware?

when you hold shift and click restore, you can opt for any fw (provided you have dl-ed the standalone beforehand)

nope. but i do know (not personally) some people still prefer 1.1.2.

go to settings and disable 'hide phone number' and your phone should work.

go to settings > phone> show caller ID . Caller ID must be 'on' before Maxis allows to make calls.
