sorry bro.. i cant give u a techinical explaination. anyway, the ramdisk software is developed by superspeed corporation for enhance speed usage. Ramdisk is a software to "cut" or "built" a section or a partion on ur ram and use it as a storage device as ur HDD. u can assign the Ramdisk as a drive and use it to store ur temp IE file to enhance the browsing speed.

For those running diskless technology. Ramdisk mostly used to store the windows image for client PC. hopefully these helps. just my 0.02 cent words

best regards

Thanks for the brief but concise explanation, but this kind of solution quite expensive also since you need to install more RAM to get desired performance hmm.gif

Yeah it will be expensive but i think SSDs are a cheaper alternative since the amount of RAM you can have is also limited by your mobo and whether you are running on a 32bit or 64bit OS.

Ram disk was really useful last time when everybody was still using floppy disk and slow hard disk....

Nowadays, with fast hard disk and ram cache, they are not that popular anymore....

Even Gigabyte i-RAM was not a successful product.....

Anyone knows where to find Gigabyte i-RAM? TQs
K for Ketamine
i still remember using ramdisk for folding, after twice power failure lost over 200 points.

just wait the price come down RM100 for 4GB, then i think worth running application pure on ram

infact Ramdisk is simple to setup, or u can just use the supercacheII to increase ur HDD speed throught buffer transferring.
