what proc u use??
mine can go above 300 easily without touching any voltage option.

Brisbane G1 3600+. Looking at the results it should be an early batch.

It goes up to 2.5Ghz on stock volts... then The WALL.

Yeah, I know, kinda crappy chip. laugh.gif

I'm running on stock cooling + thermal paste so I don't dare vcore >1.4.
When I finish my year end UEC exams I'm getting a Xigmatek and a 45nm Phenom BE (but mostly playing with the good chips, won't touch multi)

take note this is my htpc running with cheap xqbox xcube casing with xp90c without fan drool.gif actually my nidec fan cannot fit into casing. so i replace it with 12cm exhaust fan. this fan not directly contact with the heatsink becoz no space. Ram running at 667Mhz divider.
when i just bought this i try running it with high htt 330 and low multi no problem at all.

p/s u can see i havent tweak anything everything running at stock including ht link. rclxms.gif 1.5ghz this board really easy to oc just ram voltage kinda low.

From what I've heard of, Windsors (F2+) are generally MUCH more forgiving on the HTT than Brisbane G1s.

G2s seem to have rectified this problem... by a little.
Black Edition seems to be the best assurance out of this whole mess, which is why the Deneb BE is next (I give up on K8 laugh.gif)
jumajuma
u mean F3 izzit?
i'm also waiting for the deneb for my main rig. K8 will suit my HTPC better.

My new rig spec: biggrin.gif

Spec : Amd Athlon64 x2 4800+
Biostar TA780G
2X 2GB Crucial Ballistix 800MHz
ATI Radeon 3850
Western Digital 640GB
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro
Corsair VX550
AOpen G326 matx casing

Now running at 230*12.5=2875MHz using automatic overclock..

For some reason I cant seem to change the FSB speed when doing manual overclock sweat.gif

is Biostar TA780G good for a decent OC compared to Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H? im interested in biostar as it is cheaper..

Just for your info.. the only thing i regret about this GA-MA78GM is the VDIMM 2.1v only. Biostar sure have adequate VDIMM.
I think Gigabyte have a more stable BIOS i try clocking HTT from 200~390 no problem at all and no FSB/HTT hole at all. Biostar not sure.. but sure have more BIOS option than GIGA, if refer to their previous m-atx eg: tfoce6100. but lack of support.

i just bought biostar t780g today fr robyn.. currently installing OS. but the chipset is quiet hot. will try to oc my HTPC later in midnite.
jumajuma
i tot TA780g come with heatpipe and the chipset should be warm only. mine also quite hot inside a cramped case around 60degree. especially if i raise te chipset voltage to more than 1.3V.

so i put my old socket A fan to the heatsink. now temperature below 40.

anyone can give me link on where i can find moded bios for my biostar TA780G? tq in advance..
