Ask from PS Zone the other day and its selling for RM165. Not worth that much IMO..... or does it?

Maybe until the trophy patch comes out(it better do!) then it'll be worth that price.

The game is about 10-12 hours long so from that perspective, RM165 is not too bad a price to pay for it. There are shorter games out there that cost a lot more.

im planning to buy this game from PSN store, how big is the size for the full game? 1.4GB or 10GB? if 1.4GB than is ok for me but if 10GB better i buy the BD version

well BD version would be the best , well in sungei wang already got this game meh... ( pantang jer budget kureng hari khamis lepas sebab angkut Dual Shock 3 )..nevermind will get this game early next month...

i have this game, i only play it twice since i bought it, i personally hate the grainny filter, its more like a stealth game then action game....o well. it does gives you plenty of heart attacks tho. ...

this game sure kindda awesome playing it , especially when playing it with girlfriend....

this game scary la... but like i said... will not play it at night....

Actually this game is among horror games i played after midnite - fatal frame/RE/silent hill..then make excuses why im look tired when workin in the morning..

The ending is satisfying... keep playing and if you miss all the item achievement list, no worries, you can always go back after you complete all 12 episode with a new mode to play called "Time Challenge"

10-12 hours length is a pretty far stretch. I see majority completed the game in less than 8 hours.

well my wife loves this game very much but she just only can play 1 episode at 1 night so she having freaky scary game everynight dunno what time she will turn crazy haha... and i think whenever she play this game i was darn scare of the sounds... hate the scary feeling....

Well, if you expecting a fast action game... this isn't it. It requires patience and stealth to complete a quest. The thing is this game is more story-oriented than an action sort like MGS4 (difference between these two? It's a stealth game but more on stealth than break people's neck).

I know not everyone like this game because of matter of taste... but if you ask me, Siren has it's on positive fun when playing especially for those who prefer story-oriented type. Same applies to Disgaea 3... not everyone likes this sort of game either (different genre that is).

Sorry for bring up this old thread, just need some help here.

Just started the game last night, and already in chapter 4, gosh... its didnt even take long, and that the real prob..

1. I didnt feel scare at all, no horror... am i playing it wrongly? Is there a way to switch off the heart beat alert whenever there is a shibito around? Its make all the tense gone.

2. Can i actually not utilizing the sight jack at all? Manage to know all the enemies location make this games really easy and less scary imho.

3. The objective is so straightforward. Is like going from point 1 to 2, do this and that, then mission accomplish. Can i actually switch off the onjective indicator. At least let me try and error until i am frustrate, then only i refer to objective log? The hints are just so obvious...

4. Any other way to play this game in a much scarier way besides play it at night, light off etc? Except for disc opening part where there is a women moan creep me out, the other sound effect is just ok.

5. I saw in youtube that there is some executioning move, example, the part where you can hit the first women shibito onto the window, how do you do that? I hit the Square button, but end up hitting her, which cause a punch.

6. How do you guys find the hidden achievement? I mean i never pick up anything in the game at all besides the weapons. I think i am going to replay it again to actually explore every corner of the chapter as compare to now, i just jump straight into the objective, which is pretty fast.

7. Should i actually play in normal mode? I play easy, and is freaking easy. Hahaha...

To answer:-

1). As you move along the game - yes, it isn't scary at all. At the beginning it does but once a while you will know how this game moves around, even with a weapon, its not scary later on and all the suspense of the game just goes away (due to certain parts of the chapter, you will understand what I mean later on).

2). Actually, you can not use sight jack at all. But the advantage of sight jacking is to know where Shibitoes do move around a bit. Yes, they are very pattern like but that's how it is.

3). Pretty much it is a straightforward game. The main objective is to follow the objective of the goal and also to avoid Shibitoes (unless stated have to contact them). But you can finish this game two ways - finish the game just follow the story or finish the game collecting hidden items that is spread all over the chapters to get the entire story. Its quite hard to get them all since at certain parts of the game you need to accomplish something in order to get certain items in later chapters. Well, it's just there for the objective indicator but you can try to do it another way if you find a path that can lead to that. But still, you need to complete the objective before you can move further on. That's how straightforward it is.

4). If you are an experience horror movie-goer, this game no matter how you switch of the lights at night or play on Halloween night, doesn't and won't scare you in later chapter. Sorry, the game works only at the first 3 chapters later it's not scary anymore.

5). That one is prompt. You need to be very closed to the Shibito without her knowing you are near (I mean real close) in order to smash her head to the window.

6). I give you the first hidden item (not achievement) - As you walk out of the police "station" the police car will stop near you. When you recover control of your character, run toward the end of the road to your left, close the flashlight and crouch. Walk back toward the car slowly,the policeman will go toward the bus stop. Once he is there and turn around, pick the sake bottle on the bench near him. Let him walk back to the car. His next movement will be toward the police station door. Strike him when he is in the door. He will drop his notepad. Pick it up and run uphill. The rest you can either google it or just GameFaqs as some are very hard to get.

7). Uh... go play Normal lar. Play easy of course easy mah. Have a little bit of challenge.

I think i find the game to be quite spooky rather than scary.. Dead Space is spooky and scary at the same time, one of the fine purchase from me as surviving horror fan.
Anyhow, i'll start all over again tonight from normal, and try get all the hidden items. I think i been rushing through it which kill off the suspense. Anyway, since is not getting any scarier in the later chapters, i might just hip up the challenge to just avoid any hint and explore everywhere. Just a bit disappointed, with the scaring factor, not as much as i expected, now, i really hope the storyline is good enough.

I know what you mean about the scare factor... besides, since you started late on Siren: New Translation... I started late on Dead Space... In Chapter 10 now and the suspense is great!!! But still, not scary enough... I like the visuals though. Hope to finish the game tonight!

I think this game is not spooky or scary. But F.E.A.R, that is really scary and spooky.

I got headache fromt his game with the limited ingame lighting condition and fast movement, I gave up playing altogher.

IC.. haha, finish the second time on dead space yesterday, truely awesome game, still scare me on some part for the second run through.... guess the headphone surely help, the audio is amazing. Story, graphic, audio, now that's a true surviving horror especially playing in hard mode.

Anyway, i like all the effect on Siren too, just least scary that's all. Again, hope the story is cool. Saved all the hidden item list and printed it. Time to do some searching.

I'm still waiting for a trophy patch for Siren..... thats the only way this game can last longer.

Well I'd guess is that the trophies will be based on the archive files you find in the game mostly.

Either way, theres just something empty from Siren...

OK guys, tried the game again from chapter 1....
And this game freak me out so much this time.

I disable the warning alert
I disable the auto Jacksight
I switch to normal
And most importantly, i play all alone in dark this time

Gosh... is scary now, you never know when the shibito appear just in front of you...
And chapter 4 take me forever, lot of try and error. lol...
And the most disturbing this is reading all the achieve collected, with the soundtrack still playing behind...

I take back all i said, this is an awesome horror game... the chill and spook works this time....

Ready for chapter 5 now... and is 12:20am now..... uhhmmmm

siren does not spook me at all. but the hantu design was like "what the hell is that?"

i would like to share an experience when i was in japan. i was on a bike in a small town. it was around 10pm, damn dark and suddenly the bomba decided to have a fire drill for the town. the siren was identical to the one in the game. that particular experience gives me the chill.

tried replay the game with first person view and damn its scary, on chapter 6 forgot there was a crazy granny on the corner corridor..jump at me and I was like..WARGHH!!

Yup... I am doing the same mode but just getting the rest of the trophies... later Round 3 - IMPOSSIBLE MODE. I heard it's tough!

gosh, i never got the gut for impossible mode... unless i get to bring my military suit (level 6) suit to impossible mode (There is a glinch to do that, but never try before, maybe later after finishing siren lol....

And talking about siren... chapter 7 was mindblowing... the whole story line was like wtf? twisted all around man... lol

MGS4 is epic, i wouldnt say i have lot of fun with it, but the cutscene cure entertaining thou... One of the games which i watch more than play.. lol... but still epic especially the graphic

Just got my last Thursday. Now stuck in Chapter 2 though .
Finished MGS4 a while ago, now trying the no kill achievement for boss emblem.
