careful with Jayacom. a friend of mine purchased U100 there but they gave him U90. he went back to change, but they dont have stock, so he had to settle with some compaq notebook, which he had to top up RM400 for. not sure whether he got a good deal in return, but they refused to refund him when he asked for one

Sounds like a scam. Stay away. Why would you give someone a U90 when he purchased a U100?

If that is the case, I would rather get a Asus 1000H to replace the wind. lol.
derravile
i do like the asus 1000h though, juz abit pricey

in a tight budget, overall i quite satisfied with the wind now

I mean if the 6 cell battery is gonna cost RM400-ish mite as well be better to get a 1000H for that price alone since the combine price of the Wind + the 6 cell battery would be a tad higher than the 1000h.
derravile
u get additional 3 cell batt...

lolz

Not so convenient to carry another battery pack around. Redundant for a netbooks purpose. I really hate the new power adapters too, the eeepc 701's one was perfect. sad.gif

But the wind does look much more professional. smile.gif
derravile
eeepc 701 too small for mi....

see till eye pain..

the price in the market is inbetween Rm1600 to 2100 for MSI wind u100 . if you flips through some of the earlier post you can compare the price.

models which running in the market are u90 u100.

derravile
u can refer to this guy

I think it should be alright considering you're not scouting around. That is kinda like the standard price everyone is quoting. As long as its not high above that mark, it should be fine. Confirm what the specifications or freebies given though. Does this price include 2GB?
derravile
if for white version tht worth it...

if not...for black can get rm1700 for 2g ram
jumanz
;again if you dun want the os i think is best you choose the linux version

for white one it only comes with XPhome preinstalled, but u can still put in ur own os using external dvd drive:)

it works for me . remember to get the latest firmware update yah !
bear bear
jb navotech selling rm1699 for u100
+free upgrad e 1.5gb ram,4gb pendrive and a optical mouse
jumanz
seriously i rather they take out all the freebies and make it to machine + ram upgrade should be cheaper as well.

i think 1.5 GB is the version for u90 after upgrades. Please confirm and check the model before you purchased anything. alot of cons cons in the market hehe
derravile
agree...i would rather have the 2g ram uograde than those freebies..

afterall...i already got those...wat for nid extra

Just bought my MSI Wind U100 from MyPc in Low Yat.

Paid RM1,980 for it with 2 gigs RAM and a 320 gig hard drive.

Picked up a slim external DVD burner (Panasonic) for RM270.

daijoubu: Jayacom did exactly the same thing to me. Bummer about your friend...at least I managed to get them to refund me the cost in full, including the cc processing fee. I know they did the same thing to several other people as well. Rat bastards! mad.gif

My experience with Jayacom
