Well depending on the 920SH firmware, they are sold in JP/TW/HK respectively, so means the JP version need to unlock using hypersim, while HK/TW version is fully unlock..

1 seg can only be used in JP, as their broadcasting system in JP is different from ours in Malaysia..

thats y ppl waiting for 923sh insstead of 920sh...
tiffneedle
it should be F906i, the drama just finish by the passed monday.

i dont see why should go for SH923, there is not much big improvement compare with SH920
yupio
hmm I think the 923SH would be very expensive too and not to mention another round of waiting for the unlock sim and stability improvement..

anyone knows where's the best place in malaysia to get the full unlock version of the 920SH??
laliloo
912sh,824sh,821sh,814sh,923sh,920sh,910sh,823sh,812sh,813T

Which of this can be used in msia? cause my fren is in UK and plans to buy a phone, so i recon some exotic phone for her, but this is a few that caught her eyes, may i know which can be used here in msia? and if they unlock it in UK, can it be used here?

You can get from Bro Vodafone or Bearbrick in this forum..

Simply said although 920SH is fully unlocked but there are a few restrictions like can't master reset the phone, can't use offline mode, if not it will be locked back..

my 920sh still wont unlock, my friend and I cant seem to figure out the issue, and there are unlockers in canada, and they wont help rather leaving us hanging. THe next issue is repoing the 920sh in a bigger city b/c my friend lives in the country, as that was an issue the guy he got his stuff in china had the issue. If that doesnt work, he is taiwanese, and can get a good deal with INEX to get his and my 920sh unlocked.

I heard the new HyperSIM unlocks the phone fully, did u try that?
awong
well here is the info from what I know, in order to get the 920sh media unlocked you need an active softbank usim, which my friend has. it is supposed to repo ontop a hypersim or a soldered solution in the case of the INEX 920sh unlock. THen once its repoed, you have to follow the rules, which you probably read about. That is why if you have a media locked 920sh, you need to send it in or find someone with the active usim
Seaedge
never heard hypersim that FULLY UNLOCK 920sh... is there?
yupio
well, I did read from SG forums on the new hypersim fully unlock...even the Docomo 906 series are fully unlock...refer http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthre...1918773&page=18

Well not sure the CPR problem is fully resolved as previously in Singapore, it is already pretty stable. So not sure Malaysia or other places will be the same.

For the media unlock without relock problem, not tested or experience before so no comments.

920SH more stable
920SH cheaper
920SH 2Gb max ext. mem

but

SH906iTV newer, more featured
SH906iTV easier to media & cam unlock
SH906iTV more expensive

920sh, you just have to be careful not to go into airplane mode, or turn on without a sim card and dont let the battery drain. I guess if you go 920sh, carry a charger with you just in case. But it does get 3 solid days with the current media lock.

There is t92 and sx862. And those even play youtube from the original site, found this on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uv19-OcVMZo
it loaded faster than n95 and htc diamond laugh.gif

I dont like the diamond things on the sh906itv. But black looks ok. I really like the look of sh905itv, but only 3g.

hmm...indeed the SH906iTV diamond thingy is a turn-off to me too...but the superior features outweigh the small drawback la.....the most headache issue to me on the SH906iTV is the price.....soooo expensive....wonder whether I can cheaper in anywhere or not...
