Hi to old Sharp & new frenz,

Got back from long trip, including some weeks in Japan.  Torturing to see all the keitai candy in every neighbourhood department store, every street corner phone shop.....    cry.gif

Was kinda like trying to be celibate, could see, hear, hold, play but not take home...  felt like better do something or explode!  sweat.gif

So just a bit of satisfaction.  Bought various plugs, cables, screen protectors at the 99 Yen shop, then the strong urges led me bargain hunting in Akihabara, so ended up spending.    rclxub.gif  The five members of my new collection:

Hmm, a short question to every 903sh users and every users of jphones with sUpEr soFt-to ringtone. How in the world can you hear your phone ringing when people call you?? It's so soft.
*

Increase the dB of the ringtone by using audio editing program. Adjust until you somewhat satisfy.

You can use GoldWave for that purpose.

biggrin.gif
Vervain
I think some tones will produce louder sound. you just need to find one which is the loudest.

for rm52 per month? I don't think it can even cover the loss. 40% means i need to pay an extra rm20 per week. darn....

how about toshiba 911T? should be able to get around 1.2K+/-
it has the kura theme in it.

hmm anyone have any input on this issue?

I have a friend with a CID73 703shf and it worked with a hypersim for a while, but he master resetted it and now no hypersim works on it all he gets is insert usim. a vodafone/softbank cancelled sim card works with no problems, but he cannot get it to work with hypersim.

Any ideas? He isnt in airplane mode either. Now he is looking for anyone to do CID73 unlocking b/c of this. IS there anyway to avoid the cid 73 unlocking as its nearly impossible to find someone in north america to do it. (they stopped offering services for it or only do cid73 903)

I think 705px and 705sh is obtainable at that price or below especially for a decent conditon used set. Plus its the white sets that seem to be worth more than black sets

You can do software unlock on 703SH. No need bypass SIM.

Mostly can find used set only now and not sure for the price for used set.

errr.... wats da vCards contact u mean?  unsure.gif
how to import all together?  sweat.gif
*

Ok, tested personally and it will work for importing contacts through handset manager. 3 ways for it to work.

Way 1 (With manual field mapping)
==========================
Follow the steps below:

1) If you have contact list in vCard format (*.vcf), then import them into Outlook / Outlook Express / Windows Live Mail address book using the Import command (In my testing, I just use Windows Live Mail).
2) After that, select all the contacts you want to be input into your 903SH, then select command Export.
3) In the Export Dialog Box, select to export contact list as Comma Separated Values file (*.csv).
4) Select all fields when gave you the choice to do so.
5) You will get a single CSV file for all the contacts.
6) Connect your 903SH to the PC (via USB/Bluetooth/IR)
7) Open 903SH Handset Manager.
8) On phonebook menu, select Import option
9) Select the CSV you exported just now.
10) Now you will see a fields import dialog box. You can customize the mapping of fields between the contact in CSV and fields appear in phonebook.
11) After mapping completion, click OK.
12) Now you will have all your contacts imported into handset manager.
13) Now press the update phonebook to handset button.

Way 2 (With automatic field mapping)
==========================
Follow the steps below:

1) If you have contact list in vCard format (*.vcf), then import them into Outlook / Outlook Express / Windows Live Mail address book using the Import command (In my testing, I just use Windows Live Mail).
2) Connect your 903SH to the PC (via USB/Bluetooth/IR)
3) Open 903SH Handset Manager.
4) On phonebook menu, download phonebook from phone 1st.
5) Open outlook or outlook express (don't think it support Windows Live Mail).
6) Click on Sync button.
7) You will see the all the contacts that are in Outlook and also in Handset.
8) Choose which one you want to Sync to the handset.
9) Now press the update phonebook to handset button.

Way 3 (Using Auto Sync)
==========================
From what I remembered, there is an extra application for automatic synchronizing between your Outlook/Outlook Express contacts and calendars, for this automatic sync, you must open your Outlook application 1st before continue for the automatic sync process. For this, you need to play with it yourself as quite lazy to install the 903SH handset manager now.

The above steps were tested using 902SH and also 902SH handset manager. 903SH handset manager will be easier and better.

No way could I really afford that. Just to satisfy my fantasies I got "mokku" ones. No 906 tho sad.gif

My 703SH and 802SH good enough for daily use. Envied J-frenz who were using theirs to watch TV, for purchases at subways, 7-11, restaurants, and even downloading discount coupons via barcode. They even have number portability already so use whatever brand they like.

actually...nothing much i can review on the phone
im just doing simple call and sms, so far so good on the Maxis 3G coverage smile.gif
Movie: Mp4 format, max resolution would be 640x480, but bear in mind that the only thing i dun like 911T was cant play the movie fullscreen doh.gif so wasted for such a large screen
Ringtone: As usual J-Phone, the ringtone will be soft, so have to rely on the VIBRATION wink.gif or u can edit your rintone's DB level to make it louder....but at your own risk, i scared the speaker will spoil sweat.gif
Camera: A decent 3.2MegaPixels phone cam, the image that took with the phone looks ok, and got digital resist shake feature, few of the picture mode.
Video Recording: The VGA recording was good in the quality, but i dint compare with the 904sh, so cant confirm which 1 is better in term of quality, but it looks good on the phone itself
oh ya, and about the jump from N73 to 911T it really depend on your own decision, for me, if the phone's support network was only 3G doesnt bother you, it's worth

vs N73
Function - N73 WIN with Symbian OS
Camera - N73 and 911T i think no pure winner
Video recording - 911T WIN with 640x480 vs N73 352x288
Speaker - N73 WIN no doubt
Screen Size - 911T WIN with 3.0inch WVGA 800x480 vs N73 2.4inch QVGA 240x320

those are all my own opinion, just a simple comparison, and the decision still at your side...but the J-phone design and the gorgeous screen is no where the local phone on the market is comparable thumbup.gif
