i have downloaded some videos in avi format... unfortunately it can't play on TV...
i was wondering is there any software available that helps me to convert avi videos into a format that can be played on TV screen?

If your video card has TV out, you can always connect a cable to your TV, and play the videos without converting.

yup .. if u wan't to convert , it depends on ur CD/DVD Player .. or u can burn into video disk ..

If your dvd can support burn cd@dvd , so can burn it into cd@dvd format. And some dvd also can play mpeg video file, and if it's written on your dvd player, just burn it to mpeg.

buy a player that can support mpeg4 play back and have usb support.
Then copy the stuff into usb thumbdrive and play...simple.
Carrefour selling Mashimaro brand for 79.90 only!! Got usb and can playback mpeg4.

just FYI...
i have a media player... behind it got a few slots...
=power (like desktop)
=USB (to pc)
= TV ones (yellow red white cable)
= HD (hi def)
= S-Video (yellow one)
and others which i dunno wtf ones are those...
its 300 GB and can read mp3 avi mpeg jpeg gif
it has a remote control
when u plug into TV ... its a file browser and can see all ur files
i dl all my movies via torrent and throw them into this HDD and play it via TV... nice man... !
