connect using Microsoft PPTP VPN unsecure? shocking.gif


Once connect vpn , long waiting access into my network workgroup.

Suspect workgroup? (not wireless)

Does anybody can access into my network folder ? my pc does not set admin password and many folder can full access (modify,del file..).
because last week , one of the folder kena virus (auto trigger virus at midnight) and some file missing. sweat.gif

Dont let ur computer be discovered. Make sure u turn the computer discovery off or change ur workgroup name so other computers cant find you.

shocking.gif walao , Didn't know that ~... some of your customer might sniff my network (4pc, 2TB data).
dangerous ...don't have privacy at all.

Nono.. They cannot sniff your data. Sniff is like they tap your line and then whatever information that goes through they can see. But with vpn, the data becomes encrypted and they cannot decrypt it to see the data.

however if ur computer is exposed to the network, no matter with vpn or without, they can still access your computer. So best bet is install a firewall, turn off your file & printer sharing , and change your work group name to something else.

yup. We still waiting for our new server to arrive. till then got to be patient. But i just checked, the vpn is running fine. If u cant connect, pm me whats the problem cause as far as im using, havent had any problem smile.gif


Added on August 9, 2008, 7:43 pmGood news. We've found a better host now and for the time being u users can continue using this host until we finish our deal with the new host. We already ordered a server from them and now all we do is wait from them to provide it to us.

When the new server arrives, we can guarantee a 100% if not 99.9% of uptime for users.

Servers are stable after we did a few tweaks. Now it's running since yesterday without any hitch. All users should be having no problem. Enjoy using biggrin.gif

well, we are doing our best to make sure it is running but since now, we is not our capability to do anything while waiting reply from hoster.

actually we give free days for replacement already but the discount , can be considered.

We already submit our application for our new hoster (new hoster hosted somewhere better)


currently from my pc, i have a ping time of average 350ms++ to our host.

From our new host, the ping time is about 200++ ms which is wonderful.

Only problem is, they haven't replied us about our application. They are known to take their own sweet time in getting the servers ready :S

The CS say they are changing new server now ~
we all wait them ~ btw sweat.gif i am not VPN user ~ but i think VPN and webui also using same server ~

now we only can wait ~ believe them will settle this as fast as possible ~

This is what we plan to do, that's why i have mention early post that we are still waiting for the new server. Our plan has been delayed already. So hope all users able to bear with us and the next renewal, we shall give you extension of time....... biggrin.gif

Hey guys, sorry for the long delay in reply. Had been bogged down with assignments and work from college since next week is my finals. I've been spending my whole day in college.

Anyawys good news for everyone, The Server from our new host has arrived and we are now working on restoring access. So please wait patiently while we do it smile.gif

Speed is up to about 160kbps on my 1Mb line.
