i got a question, right now dell.com.my is giving away free 9 cell battery, does this mean i dont get the 6 cell battery? the 9 cell looks kinda bulky....

yea its not bad and its a little bit cheaper than my current xps,at least desktop got problem is easier to fix compared to a laptop,crysis should be able to play around 30 frames at 1280 reso i guess ....gonna save up for a laptop but it wont be for gaming purposes

Is OK if you complain when your laptop / desktop got problem. Is their responsibility for them to fix your problem and not giving you any other problem. I just notice that on the left hand side of my laptop. 1 of the USB port got problem with it. I find it difficult to plug in compare to the other 2 USB port. So do you guys think that they should do something about it.

what you got to lose? just call them and ask them about it. if they change it for you then good for you...

Great,my M1530 just had a hard disk failure.I cant login to windows now.

Called Aus Dell and they are coming to fix it on this wednesday.

Hope it doesnt give me anymore problems.Using Aus parts now.

Hell,i barely play games these days and i never leave it on for more than 12 hours a day.I dont torrent or P2P.Even the games i play are the low requirements one like DoW or Sins.Havent even touch rig killers like Crysis or Assasin Creed.

It's the component's quality problem,not me.My first problem starts on the day i got my laptop which is a dying hard disk.Then,mobo failed for no reason and now,HDD also spoil for no good reason.

This time is a Aus's HDD,not some low quality Malaysian hardware.The new HDD better be good now.

I think the hardware plays a big part imo. My 5 years old Dell desktop is faultless till now. No issues with the motherboard or the HDD. And I use it everyday. That means torrenting, and if I'm not, it's on the whole day. No gaming though, can't play any with this ancient hardware

some of ppl might have wrong mindset (but not all) that he felt dell have a lot pf problem of quality.
for me I will said not. maybe we can see a lot of ppl for example 50 ppl come here to complaint the product,
from here from there, seem like a lot of problem, but we won't know that there is 50,000 ppl stay at home never come and complaint and the system are running perfectly. That's why, we should see it positively, you might not agree how do we know that? but the share market can tell us, Dell are world wide top computer maker. for ratio: Dell maybe ship 60units out, maybe for asus, fujitsu or sony only sell less than 10units. just for example, don't flame me, I don't know the current actual number.

Probably it's some bad hardware designs M1530 plus with low parts quality.My room mate's Dell Inspiron till now also problem free ad he leave it on from morning to night.

lol my laptop i play games the whole day.....but that cannot be used as a reason for hardware failure....i'll screw dell if they say that .....i am still waiting for the return slip from dhl.....gonna call the customer care manager to remind her....anyway i am ordering the xps 420 tommorow

haha i got the HD weird sound
so this is the sound you all meant
i am quite used to it coz before this i was my uncle lappie and got same sound ( Dell also)
so nothing to worry i suppose
and the heat
yes it is quite warm at left palm rest coz of the HD
the sound system is not to par ( not what i expected but what hte hack)
the screen is superb
too bright though ahhaha....(being sarcastic for those who got a mirror instead of a screen)

just put an order on my laptop... hope to receive it soon.

the sound many ppl say not that loud so expect that from the begining.

When you ask about the performance, it is difficult to say as each owner might have a different specs. The WLED screen is clearly the better monitor so whether or not a buyer choose to upgrade will depend on whether he is willing to fork out RM300+ for it as well as his usage. As for the whining sound, there are a lot of speculation that it is probably caused by Merom processors, so far I'm on the T9300 processor and it is really quiet.

couldn't agree more... my t9300 temp roughly 29 only=.= i wonder whether i'm having a faulty sensor or not...

I have been using the T8100 processor for quite some time, so far so good.

I don't experience any overheating and noise pollution issue.

I only encontered overtheating problem during gaming. However, a cheap cooling pad will settle this problem.

By the way, most of the users complain that, the speakers are not good enough. But I can't even find out what is the problem.... perhaps I am not that music inclined at all. Haha...

whenever i open anything a pop up would apear ( windows explorer is not responding) and it closes everything and bring back the desktop screen . sort off resetting
any idea guys

Yay,hard disk fixed.Master boot record was corrupted.

Fixed with XP's disc.
