the technician did run a diagnostic after installing the mobo,no problems found,he just swap the mobo....i didnt see him doing any thermal paste though

.....boot up was the same as before just that my graphic card performance is performing badly in games that it suppose to handle with ease.In WoW my frame rate will drop as low as 20fps now as oppose to last time it will only drop the most is 40fps,it feels as if i am running on a 8400gs but the device manager shows it is a 8600m gt which is really weird.i have tried changing drivers but still the same

.I will probably get a call regarding my request for a replacement from the customer care manager on monday,i have already sent an email regarding my problem.
That fella didnt reapply thermal paste.Thats why it's causing the performance drop while gaming.
Call them to add the thermal paste. If not, even surf net, your com also heat up.Can feel the right side much hotter than usual.

if you're using vista, advisable to change the following option:
go to control panel, open Sound, double click Speaker/Headphones
Under Enhancement tab, check Disable all enchancements
after apply reboot try again.
this is known issue that we already discuss here before, can use search for more details or post from others for result.
How about sound hang?My M1530's sound card will hang ie: playing the music in loops after i listen to music for more than 2 hours.
Have to restart to solve the problem.
One more question, did anyone update their Vista to SP1 with a non Windows certified GC driver like those inf modded driver from laptopvideo2go.com?

Dear all,
I am at a lost should i purchase XPS or Toshiba.
XPS looks really cool but seems to have alot of problems.
Will you guys recommend me XPS as you guys are the experts with first hand experience : )
Dont really trust the c-net rating.
THanks in advance
It depends on luck.
Some did not have problems at all.
